loving the body work.
not a fan of the paint scheme though
hate rally fogs.
wheels are beautiful.
interior is amazing (other than the blue paint)
exhaust too big

 

the car had a concept. We based everything we did off the 1968 Fort Gt-40. hence the obnoxious paint scheme and oversized exhaust. One of the Original Judging Catagories was concept.. yet that too was editted out.... Our concept was tight and we went as far as naming the car the "DT-40" which was a play on the GT-40 and Design Tech 40 day build. as a reference .. here is a pic of the GT-40

Damn, I think you Designtech peeps did a hell of a job! That Focus actually looks pretty cool, and the GT-40 look was obvious as hell when I saw the scheme, the lights, and wheels. Then again, I think I may have heard one of the guys mention the concepts on the show, so maybe that's why it was obvious. Still, if that ain't the best that can be done with a Focus, I can't wait to see the rest.

Did you guys talk about putting a race number on the side?

Just saw the last episode of car wars and still dont understand how the girl won. There really wasnt anything special done to that car. She does no body work and Miss "You's Guys" likes it more than a widebody!?!? WTF!

interior... what a surprise, BBOORRIINNGGGG

I'm glad that DT guy told Flex he knows nothing about cars because it's true. "She followed the lines of the car." It doesnt matter! the point was to make an unbelievable show car. Very disappointing ending!!!!

just finished watching all the bullsh!t that is this series..

designtech and purevision definately was hated on in this series. FMF says in every intro "Go hard or go home". design tech and pure vision created the "hardest" of the entire group. DT made a widebody gulf GT40 throwback. pure vision freaking built what few have done. a door-less roadster. 5Axis did it to the xA and there is that green xD (forget the guys that did that).

removing the sync bullsh!t just goes to show how FMF and lori are complete dumbasses. DT interpreted the rules as using the sync as the headunit clearly FMF and lori were too slow to realize that.

props to DT for the custom turbo. props to purevision for building the focus roadster. props to airstorm for dealing with that _____ of a wife and allowing FMF to make you look like a retard in every episode. they replayed you getting hit in the head with the trunk in ep 2-7. props to shocker for kissing ford's ___. thats how you win the focus designer's vote by keeping the exterior the same. brown nose award to you.

ok since i never saw it aired in my area, is there a place online to watch these. and i agree with the one guy about the good body work and the wheels, but the paint wasn't really my favorite ( like its my place to say) and the huge fogs, but i haven't beena fan of the huge fogs, but i do like the mustang

DT40 is a pure show car. Vickis car looks like it could be all done from the dealer that way. Katzkins interior, Skeleton vinyl graphics and some cheesey wheels.
