I hope I'm in the right forums. Well here's the story.

My dad has an outstanding bill of 600 dollars on our ex- AT&T plan. So instead of paying for it, he decided to take on the road to already bad credit, to worst credit. So he opened up a T-mobile plan instead. Now here's my problem, I have an iPhone 3g with AT&T, which cannot be used unless I unlock it.

I tried unlocking it today but the guy told me that I needed the older firmware, and that he would be able to unlock it with a "turbo sim".

Does anyone know what programs are out there that would be able to unlock my iPhone 3g so I would be able to use T-mobile?

I could be wrong, but I think a company just successfully unlocked the 3G iPhone a couple days ago, an doesn't plan on releasing the hack yet.

And my recommendation, get your own plan because your phone will get shut off anyway when he doesn't pay the T-Mobile bill. Only so many phone providers out there.
