I just opened an irc channel for Scionlife at irc.freenode.net channel name #Scionlife
***NEW*** Super easy way to jump onto the channel without downloading any more software or needing to be a g33k.

IRC is Internet Relay Chat and it has been around since at least the 60's.
I found a fairly easy tutorial for you if you are intimidated by the process of setting it up. Alternatively, I have the resources to log into your computer with your permission and set it up for you. I've provided computer troubleshooting services for most of my life, so I mostly know some stuff about them darn things.

We used to have an AOL IM chat room for Scionlife... it was eventually taken over by an immature person(s) and abandoned. IRC does offer a bit more control though... probably a little more likely to last.

Hoping that irc will catch on with this crowd. It is not very difficult and a lot more fun than sitting on a webpage hitting refresh every two seconds waiting for a reply.
For the record. I think mods should be able to have op status as default, but it is ultimately up to the current op to promote you, which is me.

Calling all G33KS and Kool Kats.
Ok, enough with the hacker posing. We have made attempts in the past at getting a chat system setup for Scionlife members with no success. I'm making the latest attempt and crossing my fingers that more people will jump in and join in the conversation.
