Default Issue with Poo

Ok, now I dabbled in pacificism, not in nam of course, but I have a problem. My neighbors on both sides now have dogs that they must feed crayons and steak and the dogs then crap all over my yard. I really dont know what to do without ____ing them off. I get this feeling that they would both react poorly.

Neighbor one is a military dude and the other one is a family. They both have lab type dogs.

Please help?

What would you do if approached and asked vs. the chicken *&it thing and were sent a letter or something?

Confront them first and let them know it's a problem b/c it's all over your yard. If they get all ____y about it, let them know that you are going to call the local animal patrol, or whatever they are called, and make them aware of the situation. If all that fails, put up a fence and say F them.

The next time they let their dog drop a houser on your yard, go eat some Taco Bell and let one loose on theirs.

Hammurabi would be proud.

I was thinking about doing some work on my car in the driveway and "accidentally" leaving a dish of radiator fluid out.

Bob Barker says to help control the pet population. A .22 or a .380 works well. Bob would be proud.

This issue of animal control has gotten to be a real problem. Within a four house radius here there are 11 dogs living in this neighborhood. You really can't go outside without them going nuts and , you may not believe it , there are laws that protect them not you.
To make matters worse , it turns out people pay less attention to their animals than their kids .
The folks who live just behind me gave up and sold the house .
I guess I'd try talking to them if I were you but I don't know if you have any recourse after that.
Just don't do anything to harm the animals as , at least around here, you'd be prosecuted and probably loose.

Don't kill or harm the dogs. It's not their fault.
I like the idea of dropping a deuce on the neighbors lawn.
It is Halloween time. Shovel it up, put it in paper bags, put 'em on their front porches, set 'em ablaze and ring the bell! That one never gets old!

I have been for quite some time playing a little hockey with my garden shovel. However, its been getting rainy and now I just have piles of ooze, and I dont want to get it on my shovel. I asked one of my law professors who told me that there is something called tresspass to chattels, wherein if my use of property is inhibited by something of my neighbors there is a civil tort remedy. I dont want to sue anyone. How about smaller scale. Are there any such warnings, or should I just talk to them.

I have drafted a simple letter, that I think that Im just going to put in their mailboxes and hope that it takes care of the problem. If not I may take the issue up with the homeowners assoc.

I cannot put up a fence, because the yards are basically shared. The houses are pretty close. Its all that I could afford.

actually legaly.. unless you mail it... you cant put it in their mailbox... i think.. some federal law on that one...
go get some yard stakes and signs and plant them on your side of the property line stating no dogs allowed, reserve the right for legal action... or something...
then they'll come to you and ask...

Burn their house down while keeping yours safe. This way you don't have to worry about them or their dogs.

I think that practicing your your swing with the sand wedge and putter would be for the best. Not only do you get practice but if your neighbors see it maybe they will think about why this guys is putting crap in my lawn.

I have a dog in a condo complex and I make sure to flick the poo in the bushes or somewhere that no one walks it's being fair to my neighbors and my job as a pet owner.

OMG! Did you see the SIZE of those rats in the yard!!!??? They might hurt my neighbors dogs! I better put out some rat snap-traps with peanut butter and bacon!

Or toss the dogs a piece of cheese with an exlax tablet, so they just dump all inside their owners houses.

Or just stand outside with a hose and when the dog comes to crap, spray it.

Honestly, it's these people that are going to whine and complain about speeders when their dogs run into the street and get hit. I like animals so I try to avoid them. My more evil side wants to aim for them. . . but I feel bad for the dog. However, if you're stupid enough not to attend to your love ones (including pets), then you should EXPECT that something bad will happen.

I just love the "children at play" signs on small streets in neighborhoods. As a child, I stayed off the street. It's that simple. It wasn't very hard for my parents to TEACH me that cars going even 10mpg are dangerous.

I often times find myself accelerating towards pedestrians (who aren't in cross walks). At least I know I won't hit them. Maybe it will save their lives? Who knows. Scare them enough, and they'll learn not to get in the way of traffic. What's REALLY harder? Waiting a few more seconds to cross the street, or stopping a 3000 lb hunk of metal? Oh, and that's assuming the driver is paying attention. People are so damn picky about hair in their food or the cleanliness of a restaurant, but they don't realize how easy it is to be killed crossing a road.

But yeah, if a pet isn't on a leash, then it's the owner's fault for the consequences (maybe not by law). Although I personally couldn't harm an animal (as it does not have the ability to make complicated decisions and/or use logic (most animals rely heavily on instincts).

And if you'd argue that kids can't make competent decisions and that they need to be protected. . . if your kid is retarded enough to get in the way of a moving car or "hang out" in the middle of the street, then your kid DEFINITELY needs supervision, and/or a big reflective suit and a plastic helmet.

I know I know. . . I'm making two points at the same time. . . but it's almost the same thing.

In terms of your situation, there's nothing you can really do. They're not going to leash their pets, they're not going to clean up the poo. They're going to be lazy ****** who can't take care of their family and/or pets. You can retaliate and escalate, but they'll likely do the same to you. And unless you're willing to just go all out crazy, it's not going to do any good. The best thing you can do is just put up a fence. It's expensive and a hassle, but you can build one for not too much money.

I know that its not exactly legal but I put a letter in their box that nicely asks them to dispose of the soggy loafs on my lawn. This is kind of step one, if nothing avails I will contact and file a complaint with the homeowners assoc. If that does not work then Im going to go with bear traps.
