if you dont mind sharing, how much did you spend? (or PM me if you dont wanna tell the world...hehe)

but if you dont wanna share that, how about telling us where you got the ring and do they give that away to EVERYone that spends that much?!

cuz you know, some of us might be in the same boat soon....

in any case, congrats!

if you have been dating since you were 18 then i would save the ring for a later time. unless your super religious the chances of the marriage lasting is slim and none. i think it is around 80% of marriages from people those ages end in divorce. if things don't work out, just make sure you have a nifty plan to get your ring back or you will be s.ol.

Lets just say with the money I spent I could of gotton a brand new motorcycle, and I got the ring for $200 over cost. BEst thing to do is buy a book and read up on it. It is amazing how much stores overcharge and scam you. Never buy a preset diamond. Always buy loose one and examine the geology report.
Updated version of the book I read. http://www.amazon.com/How-Buy-Diamon...e=UTF8&s=books

statistics are there for a reason and i don't let them rule my life. they are there to help me make educated decisions based on other peoples mistakes and also learn how to protect myself and property. the best words for this age situation along with anyone is PRENUPTIAL AGREEMENT.

I bought my gf one last Christmas. I had this huge plan mapped out. She loves playing those crane machines at the boardwalk so I bought her a mini one and I was going to put a paper in there that asked her to marry me, so when she "won" it I would surprise her with the ring. Well, THAT didn't happen...but it would've been nice lol. One night on Dec 8th we got into a fight and I was like "Oh yeah...well I was going to ask you to MARRY ME. That's how much I love you!" and then she started crying and said she wanted to get married...and that's that. But hell, we're not legally allowed to get married yet in the state of NJ (I don't think it's passed yet...is it?)
