Jeffy Lube cheating caught on tape
That's why I never go to 'stiffy' lube. About 12 years ago, I went to one to have my AC serviced. They had my car for over 5 hours. When I went to check on my car, they were putting freon (back in the day) in my AC that I didn't approve. So my technically $20 service almost cost me $150. A lot of those places are rip-offs.

Thats okay listen to this.....i owned a 97 ford taurus before the tC and use to take it to "Lube -N- Screw" as i like to call them....they put Transmission fluid in my engine as my Oil Change!!! 3 days later went to go on a trip and my car starts smoking....took forever to figure out why.....turns out they had put the wrong top on the oil barrel and they were putting transmission fluid in the engines until i told them....long story short.....i took to Ford and told me that it was $2500 worth of damage due to bad cats and o2 sensors along with other small problems(No engine damage though and compression was good
)....sent the bill and $2500 estimate to "Lube-n-Screw Corp." and got a nice check in the mail....who needs cats LOL
Worked out for me in the end but man it was bad....never ever go there...for real

just had a Subaru Forester in here, couldn't get the drain plug back in so the J Lube techs decided to use a hammer and bash it in, well they dented the oil pan and stripped the threads but decided to NOT tell the customer
so i gave them an estimate and they sent us a check for the repairs
i have 2 friends, they live in different parts of the country, don't know each other, both took their vehicles(one a late 80's montero, the other a lumina car) to jiffy lube. jiffy lube forgot to put oil back in. both of them had to get new engines. jiffy lube only ever paid for one of them though. the guy with the lumina is still trying to get his money.

And lets not forget the free paint scratch with any service!
I use to work for a oil change shop chain called Speed Lube and for the two years I worked there I dont know of anyone every getting stiffed like that especally on purpose. yes we would recommend air filters and stuff like that but never didnt change them. . after learning how easy it is to change my oil i perfer to change my own but, in a pinch during the winter i would still use them. this is just shady practices oviously going all the way to the general manager.
When I worked for a Jeep dealership, a customer came in for warranty work and the tech noticed that the dipstick was missing. We asked the customer and she said she had JUST come from Jiffy Lube, so we call them and tell them they need to send someone down with her dipstick. 20 minutes later, in comes the Jiffy Lube guy with a handful of dipsticks, at least a dozen!!! They had done this to so many cars they didn't know which one was hers. Our tech picked the right one out of the bouquet and we all stood there shaking our heads in disbelief.
One time I went to WalMart (only place open and needed to change badly). For some stupid reason, they decided to use an oil filter wrench to PUT THE NEW FILTER ON! Of course, it punched a hole in the side of the filter. The worst part was that the drip didn't fall straight down and instead, puddled on the frame rail or something until I slowed to enter my driveway and then it gushed out and onto the exhaust pipe. Smoke and oil mess. The local Lube place I took it to after that fixed the problem, cleaned it up, topped off the oil and didn't even charge me. needless to say, I go there now for all my oil changes. of course I watch very carefully and keep on their cases. The funnest part is when the tech asks me if he can check the air filter. I say Go For It.... And for some silly reason, they look under the hood for it.... hehehe.
