Anybody buy KILLZONE 2 for their PS3 yet? I did, but I haven't opened it yet. If you did and
have played it, let us know what you think of it. I will give a review of my findings later.

 

Ok... I got to play it for 1 1/2 hours after swapping out my hard drive (for a 500GB one!).
The graphics are insane! Probably the best so far on the PS3. Controls are pretty tight. I am
playing on "Trooper" difficulty and the Helghast are still hard to take down. I have to work
right now. Hopefully I'll be able to play more tonight. I am off tomorrow, so I hope the GF didn't
have any bigs plans because I'll be busy playing. lol

 

im playing it right now, and it is a great game but the damn gun sometimes doesn't shoot where you want it to. but over all its a pretty good game, and online is pretty cool also. i still prefer my COD4 over any shooting game out there. just cant wait for COD modern warfare 2 and resident evil 5.

 

I hear you on the gun controls. I think they did that on purpose to make it more like 'real life'.
Because when you fire a gun, the recoil is a b%^ch. Same thing happens in the game. I haven't
tried online yet. Any problems with the online servers? Sony always has issues with new releases
and their servers for the first week.

 

i've been playing the game...and i definitely 2nd the gun issue....also, button mapping could be better

online is ok...i guess it just takes some getting used to.

i'm not entirely sure on the ranking thing though

So what is everybody's verdict? Like it? Or hate it? I like it! Keeps you on your toes most of the time I
have played. I keep reading online about how people are complaining about the gun controls. This is why
they make different variations of FPSs. If all were the same, it would get boring fast. Most of the people
complaining are those who play COD. I can't believe what some of the whiners are saying. Just get
over it already. It's called a 'learning curve'. It does not detract from the game play. I hope GG doesn't
give in and send out a patch for the gun controls. Oh yeah, I me some F-bombs!!

P.S. I am in no way making fun of you guys here. Just the cry babies I read online typing in
ALL CAPS saying there are having a hard time playing and GG screwed up the controls.
Come on now.

^^So are you saying the lack of 'custom button mapping' ruins the gaming experience?

I got it a week ago and been mostly playing the multiplayer online. A patch recently came out that altered how the aiming feels. I'm liking it so far, tho sometimes it gets hectic online and feels a little unbalanced. Especially since weapons and abilities are unlocked though badges, and high ranked players can play with lower ranked ones. As for controls, I have it set to Alternate 2 and its been working well for me.

 

I love the game. COD4 is best but Killzone II is the best shooter on PS3. As for the gun issue, short bursts fixes that. I am playing on the hardest level available and am about the fight Radic. I'll let you know how that goes.

 

u know ALL games on PC have custom button mapping right? Just another reason FPS's are better on PC. ha ha

Especially if ur PC is a MAC that runs windows and OSX!!!!!

 

i just got it last night..still in the wrap...anyone up for a game? are the controls a lot harder to learn than COD?
