neither home team phillies or the o's were any good...
i have always liked the yankees. but became a real fan after ripken left baltimore.


so yeah i think this is gonna be a quick post season for the yanks

 

i mean, when you pay half a billion dollars for 2 players, you better win.

dont get me wrong, i am diehard fan, always have been (born in the bronx) and always will be, but i hate what the yankees have become. it is all about the money and not the game. i miss the good ol' yanks

but i think that they have been better, since the all-star break, than they have been the last 5-10 years..

428 million, over 7 years for CC and 5 years for AJ, and 8 years for Tex. Its not all in one year LOL. These guys are paid monthly.

Either way, we just have to accept that New York is the monetary capital of the world, and has the most monetary power compared to other teams. Unfortunetely, baseball is more of a business, (an entertainment business more specifically) then a sport anymore.

Either way, I've supported them (minus Girardi) since 95 and am not going to stop now.

 

never said i was going to stop. i just miss the days (and now the sports) where people played for the sport, not the money.

I hope so. Even tho I would like to see the Yankees win in 4. But I think it's gonna be a 7 game war. But that's fine with me. 7th game, bottom of the 9th, 2 outs ( to determin the champs) Awww man I can't wait.

I predict Yankees in 6. I just do not see the pitching depth there for the Phillies.

I will say.. Lee dominated the Yankees last night. But the series... 1-1. It's gonna be a good series
