just wait till you get a leak in the exhaust tubing and not the muffler(s)

i've tried to do a quiet cat back exhaust but some what failed, until i put the stock exhuast manifold back on it removed the exhaust drone from the cab... and i still have a nice tone from the whole system... its not quite loud and not quite quiet...

Yea, I really loved my HKS and megan header. Now he ^ has my header, and my HKS is soon leaving me.

i turned my car on for the first time today without any of it, and I thought it didn't start. It's too quiet for me

Loud when I get on it. Quiet when I'm cruising.

Quiet, always. I had the HKS Hi-Power before but I got over it real fast, & now I have a custom JIC dual exhaust setup with the Descendant turbo kit & its PERFECT.

^^ yeah that's where the biggest difference in my exhaust system came into play... was when I swapped out the stock header for a performance one. Before that, the stock header along with my Injen CAI & Injen SES CAT back gave a deeper and slightly more quite exhaust note.... w/o the drone inside the car. I do notice a little bit better performance in certain rpm ranges & speed w/ the performance header... via the good ole butt-dyno lol....but some days I'm tempted to go back to the stock header just to lose that "droning" sound inside the car.

hey there Tina.... so how quite would you say your setup is now with being boosted and all? Say on a scale of 1-10 ... with 1 being total stock quite & 10 being loud enough to draw attention from the boys in blue...

I like to be somewhere in the middle. Had a Magnaflow and it was too effing loud, switched back to stock and hated how quiet it was... now I have a Greddy SP2 and it's perfect.

For street cars, I definitely like quiet exhausts. If it was something you were tracking, I can see the need for something distinctive sounding.

Quiet (comparatively.) There's nothing worse than a ricey little import that makes much more bark than bite.

A super-loud exhaust is the first sign of immaturity. After driving with that exhaust for 6 months, you grow up, and get something quiet.

after driving around with rediculously loud exhaust system since august, i long for a much quieter exhaust. not silent, still like a strong exhaust tone. but something that isn't so totally outta control.

well for me.... mine didnt get really loud until I added a performance header to my Injen SES Axle back. with the stock header and both the Injen CAI and SES Axle back...it gave a nice deep tone w/o out being all that loud. I'd say with that it was about a 3-4 outta a 1-10 scale... NOW I'd have to give it about a 7 or 8. Fine sometimes...but that droning in the interior does get old after a while....and for what? a few extra ponies? I almost wonder if I should just sell the header and go back to stock.
Now if it added like 10+ hp then I'd keep it... but realistically it only adds a couple at the wheels.
