Default Mark McGwire and the Hall of Fame

For all ScionLifers that love baseball:

I was watching ESPN this morning while I ate my Wheaties and they reported that Mark McGwire's chances at getting inducted into the Hall of Fame next week are slim at best.

So I ask you, what do you think?

It's a shame that that once special moment of #62 barely clearing the left field fence has been so tarnished.

Here's the article:

I think he should. All the hear-say & such... he has NEVER been convicted or tested for anything. Innocent until proven guilty. Also, he hit 49 homers his rookie year. I say he should be in.

The baseball writers and former players have this holier than thou personna that just iritates me. How many DUIs, drug convictions, spousal abuse, etc have you heard about in pro-baseball? Here, McGwire just hit homeruns and went about his business.

Oh yeah... slightly biased being a lifelong A's fan.

At least you admitted your biased opinion. Though he has never been PROVEN guilty, you have to admit that he was less-than-convincing when he was put on the spot about two years ago.

What he would say to the press, or what he honestly thinks? 'Cause I have a feeling they would be different.
