Default Michael Vick

I just saw the story on Sportscenter. Vick should go to jail for his inhumanity. I hope the Falcons cut him and he's suspended by the NFL.

They found 60 dogs or kennels (can't recall at the moment) in 3 buildings on his property that he is renting to his cousin.

From everything I've seen, including Clinton Portis's comments "they his property (refering to the dogs) so he can do what he wants with them," it appears that there is a fairly large underground celebrity dog fighting scene centered around Atlanta and the SE that a lot of athletes from the area are a part of.

damn, it would be kinda hard to clear yourself of any allegations when they find 60 dogs/kennels...ouch

i dont understand why he would do this, you are an NFL superstar and your team stands behind you 200%, but come on, dogfighting? they are his property, but that is extreme animal cruelty, i would expect his punishment to be no less than if anyone else got caught like this, but of course, he is a SUPERSTAR so he probably wont get crap...

oh darn the NFL suspended me, well lets take a year off and see if i can spend some of my small fortune on weed :D

i love michael vick, but the vick family is going to have a hard to clearing their name after the whole Marcus/Michael controversies

I do know that Vick is known for breeding pits just as Big Boi from Outkast, and Big Dane from West Coast Customs. I'm not sure one way or the other, I'm not going to form an opinion based on the news media, it's too biased and hungry for a story. I have close friends who are related to Falcon players and none of them will comment on him, the majority of them will not comment on teammates out of respect. I trust that Arthur Blank and the NFL will make the right decisions when the evidence is presented to them. At some point celebrities/atheletes are gonna have to start being held responsible for they're decisions.

Cuz it's not "dogfighting" he's into, it's "illegal gambling".

I don't understand first hand gambling obsessions, but i've read abuot them. People get off on wagering enough to have their wallet "feel it"(i.e. if you're a millionare you don't go for the quarter slots). Well add to that, "illegal & violent", and people who are brought up in that culture or want to, like that extra little mix to it, and probably don't gamble on tame stuff once they're used to this other form. It's understandable, especially here in america, where we love us some violence and killing.

I'm totally against this, as a breeder myself, I've seen dogs after fights that ALMOST ended in death and needed to be put down, and it's sick. Dog fights aren't usually quick. No, skin is torn off, eyes bit out or destroyed, most of these animals slowly bleed to death while crying(and a dog's muzzle actually let's out relatively little blood for the size of the wounds).

Can we shove him, PacMan Jones and 3/4 of the Bengals roster into a semi and drop it off of a large cliff?
