So me and my lady were watching the Italian Job the other day and I said that I would love to have a Mini S, so we start arguing about whether or not its a girl car. She says without a doubt it is and I say maybe the regular mini the the mini s could be both.

So what do you guys think. I mean 178hp is a good bit considering how light it is.

 

I personally think it is. The only place I would drive a mini cooper is on an autocross track.

 

eh...a lot of people say a tC is a girls car.

 

I have a coworker who says my tC is a "B*%@H" car...this of course is coming from someone who calls their truck "MATER"..go figure.

I would go for the Mini S ( it was that or the tC )

 

Just don't get a pink one.

 

Hahaha the car is what you make it. I personally have seen more men driving the Mini S.

 

I think bugs and minis look stupid. I'd never get one. Anytime anyone calls a car "cute" I have no interest in it...

 

Yeah I mean I see this same guy every day who has a mini s with dual exhaust and its nice, but really they seem fun to drive and arn't that expensive.

 

its not screaming MAN!!!!! but its not a truck either so..... i say its fine. mines not a truck. i love my xb. people call minhe a girly car too.

Does anyone else agree that this car could be pretty fast if done right? I mean there seems to be alot of potential here.

i dont think its a chic car but they are not that fast. I had about 100 extra pounds in my car and this girl in a Mini S tried to race me. I didnt out run her but she didnt out run me either, it was very even.

 

^^ I wonder if she knows how to drive stick well (or if it is stick) and if not how would that race be if she did.

 

she new that we were racing and she seemed to know how to drive it as I never heard her mis a shift or anything. she was being an ___ and waved bye to me out her window, so I had to run with her....

If you do decide to get one make sure it's the John Cooper Works GP. My ex girlfriend had an S and it was alright. We went on a road trip through the Arkansas mountains and that one was always quite literally miles ahead of everybody else. Other than that, it's a small fwd hatch. You should get a GTI instead.

 

While not a girl car by any means, the (full) JCW Cooper S is waaaaay too expensive to be worth it.
