i think it's neat cuz the pig is 9 ft 1000 lbs. It'd be damn near impossible to trap an animal like that. The way they killed it was cowardly though. You know the opening scene to 300 with the boy and the wolf? That's something to respect and be in awe of.

I honestly think it was the dad who did it, maybe let the boy put the final shot in it.

i just don't see 3 adults following around a kid with a pistol for 3 hours without shooting it themselves.

 

Actual hunting, is one thing.

Sitting in a deer stand swilling beer waiting for deer to show up and munch on the corn is quite another.

As far as hunting with a 50 cal handgun, well that seems goofy. Hunting with any kind of handgun just seems goofy to me, however if you're in the woods in the Arkansas and you don't have a big handgun, well then you're just a moron, cause there are a lot of hogs out there, and they don't have to be 1000 lb to put a hurtin' on you.

Now, wild boar hunting with nothing more than a knife and some dogs, that's a man's sport. A really dumb man's sport that is

I think we can all at least agree that hunting has gotten easier...

a pointed rock tied to a stick and nothing to guide you but your knowledge of the stars
to
High powered gun that can be effectively operated by a 5 year old and gps to guide you.

Somebody does it the old fashioned way and I would be more than happy to acknowledge thier accomplishment.

That was a challenging hunt....They actually jumped in front of me...I could feel them boucing off the floor board of the car

 

My grandparents and my father all bowhunt for deer and bear. They never use a gun on an animal. There's no skill in it. A real hunter has to be patient and skilled. Pumping an animal with an automatic rifle and 300 rounds =/= waiting for a black bear to lift it's arm in just the right angle to hit it in the sweet spot between his ribs, piercing the heart with an arrow without the bear spotting you first, climbing the tree, and mauling you to death. They also use every single part of the animal.

 

Bow hunters are definitely higher up on the respect scale in my book. Although it would take a one big asp arrow, or whole mess of them to bring that pig down.

I used to hunt Scorpions in my Back yard when I was young.....you catch two, put them in a jar....shake it up and set them free and watch them fight till the death! Better than Chuck Lidels fight this past weekend

 

Is it necessary to shake the jar or even put them in the jar in the first place? Why not just put them close to eachother? Sorry if that is a dumb question but I have only seen scorpions in pet stores...

 

Dont know..I was prolly around 5 years old living in San Antonio...and just felt I had to shake the jar.....

 

well possums are just fat and gristle no real meat on them anyways
