MOTOR FX on MTV
Some of you may know that MOTOR FX did a show for MTV last August. And i finally got an email from the Producer of the show! Check it out and tell me what y'all think!
A new MTV car show I helped develop and directed the pilot for called Trick It Out
debuts Monday night at mid-night. It's a tuner garage battle between 8 Southern
Ca. "Pimp My Ride" style body shops. Garages are given old beat up rides
and have two weeks and $15K to turn them into masterpieces. It's a 6 episode competition
that will run all week. M-TH @ mid-night and the semi-finals/finals will run back
to back on Friday at 11pm and mid-night.
Not the most convienent time slot, but Tivo if u can. It's actually a pretty good

Mtv.com said there would be a marathon of all the episodes that would lead up to the finals. I watched mtv all night and they never showed anything. Was anybody esle able to watch the finals on friday. I even looked through the tv guide thing and nothing came out for the show all weekend. Damn, i wanted to watch it too
I set this for DVR and saw one episode (honda accords or something)... then the other episodes that were DVRd were like Pimp My Ride and other random crap. Seems like they ran one or two episodes and then just gave up?

well, i searched on yahoo just now and they have episodes listed starting tonight @ 11pm est and everyday after @ 11pm est. hopefully they show them now since thats what tv guide said on friday and they show that stupid show about parents setting their kids up on blind dates.

i saw its an ok show. it was cool to see a shop that we deal with here on SL. i like the idea but they should have more than one judge. that way it a fair judgement. its worth a watch.

hey coi... it's alright man.. you guys did a good job. glad to see you on tv though! you'll get a little bit of recognition at the least.
it truly is a race of time.... i just laughed at the episode after, where it was showstoppers vs. 3S motorsports... time wasn't friendly to 3S..

I liked your car, but you really didnt have a theme. I think your car was better executed, but it was just blah. It didnt look like it was a showcar but rather something someone put together piece by piece. The other car was more creative and thats what won it for them. Because as far as just better looking, your car took the cake. Their car was really f***ed in terms of details and looked shotty. It really looked RICE at best.

I guess the judge was looking for something more outrageous and original, which I guess making a spaceship car isn't something you would see everyday. But for something that was going to be a show car or driveable car, yours would be what I would pick.
In any case, it was cool to see someone that is so involved in our Scion community on tv.
