Go easy on the new guy!
I'll go easy on his ride.
I'll go easy on his honored wife
(She's so easy on the eye)
Go Easy, now, you new guy.
Go Easy, without strife.
Go Easy like Ohio flows
her river through your life.
kind regards from all of SL,
and me too.
The most senior xB owner, Raymond B
He has been ailing these past two and a half months.
He is doing better by degrees since knee replacement and other surgury.
He is ninety one to my fifty one. I help out lately.
yesterday on the back porch, near his beloved car.... we read aloud from this book.
It was a perfect day yesterday. That book is a perfect book penned and privately published by the Quaker man who mentored me as a child, as my next door neighbor. A man born the year 1900. It recalls growing up on a farm near Dayton, Ohio.
Which is why I recall the Ohio River, so key to that state.

Quakers. I am not a Quaker but I try to emulate them to some degree.
My grandmother's first cousin was a Quaker named Drew Pearson. He became a famed writer in his day. I am not. I would rather not be famed anywhere but at SL... for being a half-decent friend to others.
(goosh)
But! caring for Raymond does grow me more gentle.
This phase of my span reminds me to note some things, half-gracelessly, about the better way to co-exist:
"we" do no intentional harm.
we see the natural order of things extend broadly and leniently in a tolerant world, governed by empathy. A dream, that requires constant tending like a garden does.
we make friends of those who have unsettled mindings.
we gain peace by helping others.
we all know this but how many -speak of this- here at SL? Not many. So I do.
So does Raymond, wishing well to all, via me.

See a large and beastly bear?
Well, I see a bear cub poised to play,
To get some sweet stuff here or there.
Honey for the tongue.
Honey for the spread.
It's for honey that the Singa-bear
Leads momma bear to bed.
Now, coarse and common bears are brown
Or cinnamon, we're told.
This fine beast is furred in black
And he lines his heart with gold...
Or is that color really...
... HoneyHoney in his head?
Honey's in the cupboard;
Honey from the comb.
Honey's his forever 'cos
He's beezy at his home.
All do like that Honey
Bear applies to everyone,
Mama Papa Baby Bear?

this special thread is fast approaching the 50 thousand mark
It would be great to screenshot the header again at exactly 50K!
Will you be the one to click in here at 49,999?
Catch the rollover with a Photo capture. Gadwin is good.
The person who saves read # 50,000 gets a special verse. Won't be lame either.
Now who will add the next Mugg Shot? YOU????

Aww, G'wan! It is your turn for fame

One thing I truly regret about California is going from Ivory to Beige, because I'll never be able to pull this color off out here like I did in DC.

Beige of her thoughts.
She is pensive
too often
unsure of her place.
We love her for this
so we urge an embrace.
Warmth toward,
and for,
your life, gaining grace.
Erase all regrets.
