Thrice? How in god's name has no one brought these guys up yet? One of the most talented group of guys I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They absolutely are amazing live. With each album they have put out, they've progressively changed up their sound to try out new things. I'm a huge fan of their new album Vheissu, and if you guys haven't heard it yet, please please please go check it out. They have some tracks up on MySpace, and on their website www.thrice.net

Oh and about Coheed...
I've always been a huge fan of their style. Love the albums. But they are quite possibly THE WORST band I have ever seen live. Maybe they just played a bad show...but I left that concert after 4 Coheed songs. And I NEVER leave a concert early unless there is a dire emergency. The vocalist forgot freaking half the lines...the tempo was off...the whole band just sounded like they were a group of guys playing someone elses songs together for the first time. Biggest waste of 30$ ever.
But I still love the new album!

FFAF is great. saw them live a few years ago and the drummer is insane!
only heard a few things from Emery and AILD but Dead Poetic is pretty good too.

DEAD POETIC is awesome...
I saw a Dead Poetic and Emery show... Atreyu went to my high school.

Vheissu is good, but I prefer there previous albums much more. They used to be a mix of punk/hardcore with some oldskool metal riffs, but in there latest album that sound is completely gone Vheissu to me sounded like a mix of hardcore and Coldplay

My bad. Missed it while skimming.
Both albums? They have five. First Impressions / Identity Crisis / Illusion of Safety / The Artist In The Ambulance / Vheissu. They also have an awesome compilation album that includes a bunch of B-sides, covers, live tracks, and rare material called If We Could Only See Us now, and it's packaged with a kick ___ dvd. Oh, did I mention that I'm a fan?

I've also become a big Dredg fan. And I'm stoked, because I get to go to the Taste of Chaos tour in Feb. Thrice/Dredg/Deftones and about 6 other awesome bands will be there....w00t.

hmmmm.... I got turned to Coheed and Cambria from the clip they play on MTV in between shows during the credits.... I really like Acoustic Rock (alice in chains, Days of the New) so I DL'ed a couple C&C songs...... man I've never disliked a band so much.... or perhaps it's just the singer.... how annoying....IMO though.. don't hate on me...

I also like:
Days of the New
Alice in Chains
Deftones
Dave Matthews Band
Avenged Sevenfold (and Killswitch Engage which sounds just like A7X)
System of a Down (mostly for their music.. not so much on their views)
Fleetwood Mac
Tool
Rammstein
Jack Johnson
Alanis Unplugged
Eric Clapton Unplugged
Prodigy

Then there is also:
3-6 Mafia
Bone Thugs
Bizzy Bone
Wyclef Jean
Outkast
Crunchy Black
Twista

Man.... I could go on for a while....but I"ll spare you guys...haha Pretty much I like ABC...Anything But Country

I heard A7X first.... never heard them untill I went to a Mushroomhead concert and A7X opened for them..... I bought their CD and loved it.....Then someone said "they sound like Killswitch".... so I went and found some of their music too....

BTW: I like Waking the Fallen better than the new A7X CD.....

well that's probably because of his voice. inbetween the two album, he tore his vocal chords screaming so much. he had surgery, and he doesn't sound the same anymore. more gritty.
