Default My new hobby...drift RC

well, it will be my new hobby if the damn UPS man would hurry up with my kit.

But anyways...I've been into RC cars for as long as I can remember. I've had some buggies, a nitro stadium truck, and even an old school Lunch Box monster truck.

A few weeks ago I got to try out a 1:10 drifter and DAMN it's fun! So I bought a used Yokomo MR4TC set up with everything I need and I'm waiting on the UPS man to drop it off this afternoon.

I just figured I'd share and see who else is in to it (if anybody)

www.groovydrift.com <-where I've been spending a lot of time here lately. TONS of info, pics, and videos

here's a random video I yanked off of youtube. Check it out:

sweet, I love RC cars. Ive never got to mess around with a drift one, but my dad bought a sick Tmaxx a couple of years ago with everything upgraded on it. Theres barely any plastic pieces left on the truck, its got upgraded aluminum everything, better motor, tranny, custom dual exhaust etc...the thing is sick but it was about $1200-$1400 on a truck that starts out at a bout $400 and change lol. Also, if people like the trucks, the Tmaxx is a great starting point and is pretty quick for what it is even in stock trim. They are very addicting once you start modding them

My little brother has an E-Maxx and it is insanely fun to bash. With the twin electic motors it's got way more torque than neccessary and with 2 fresh charged packs it'll flip right over on it's roof with too much throttle. It's a beast!

I guess no one cares lol. Oh well.

I've learned one thing: Upgrading 1:10 cars is WAY more addictive than upgrading real cars because the prices are 1:10 as well w00t!

My chasis (it was a peice of crap when I got it...I had to give it some TLC and added a few parts):
