Need to know if this TV package is good deal from Best Buy.
ok I have been trying to find a good HDTV that I can hook up to my PS3. well today I was going through my local Best Buy weekly ad and found these two items in a BUNDLED PACKAGE for $698.98
I was wondering if you tv gurus could tell me if this is a good deal or not? cause it looks like a damn good deal to me.

If this is a good deal then I am gonna buy it ASAP if they still have them in stock.

Sound system- looks pretty awesome. Sorry I can't help any more.
Here's what you need to consider in purchasing a TV.
1) Make/model... this is so you know the chipset and screen is of good quality. No problems with the Sony Bravias
2) Contrast Ratio: Higher is better.
2500:1 isn't bad.... I think my Samsung 27 runs 3000 or 4000:1. As long as you avoid the cheap 1200:1 panels (or worse) going around, you'll be fine.
3) 720p vs. 1080p
This TV is a 720p, which isn't top of the line, but it's PLENTY awesome. It takes a trained eye to tell the difference on something sub-40 inches. You'll be happy with 720, but if you can go for the 1080, I'd consider it. If it's a $200 difference, then don't worry... but if it's $20, you get my drift.
4) Inputs.
Looks like this one's got plenty. More is always a plus.
----
In short:
TV:
Compared to what's out there: 6/10
Compared to what people actually have : 8/10
DVD movie experience: 10/10
HD/Blu-Ray experience: 9/10 (struggle to see difference with 1080p)
Good deal ? Hell yes, 10/10
It's a decent little unit, nothing too fancy, at a great deal. You could do far, far worse.

the sound system is nice
personally im not a big fan of sound systes w/ built in dvd players
due to teh fact that most have sprcial speaker connectors
adn if one speaker blows
u would have to pay more for that exact one
i pieced togeather my SS System
Onkyo amp
Insignia 6.1 speakers
and a Sony Sterio SUb

i mean it's not like it's gonna be a main source of tv. i don't even watch tv really. I only watch movies and play games. I won't even have cable hooked up to it. ha ha
actualy
i just read the specs throughly
adn it has no component imputs or HDMI imputs
un less u r funning the video and audio into teh tv
then just the audio out on teh tv into teh SS then u wont be able to get HD

why in the world would they sell a TV and sound system together just to hook it up with RCA? that makes no sense. it is an HDTV but they pair it with a SS that only has RCA?
