Default New laptop with wireless internet and XBOX360 i have ?'s

ok so i have a new laptop and out of the box i can sign on to the internet using any connection from any router in my neighborhood its AMAZING i love it.

so i had a couple of questions i have a xbox 360 that i wanna go online with is there any1 i can connect this to my laptop? i dont have a fone line at home or anything so i was wondering if i can plug my 360 to the laptop and then i guess i would have to pay for a membership to xbox live?

and if this is possible how do i connect both of them together?

thanx in advanced peopless

No. You need to have a direct ethernet cable running from a modem, router or switch to the 360. You can buy a wireless receiver for the 360, and if you can get your laptop connected to it, the 360 should connect.

No, it connects over the internet. As long as both machines are on the same network, you'll be able to connect them. It's a pretty useless function lol. I connected to use custom soundtracks, but just gave up because Windows fails.

Connect an ethernet cable from your 360 to your laptop and then bridge the connections... i always use my laptop for my 360's internet since i dont want to buy the adapter

yea but you have to go to your connections manager on your laptop and bridge both LAN and Wireless connections and then setup your 360s internet settings

Wouldn't you need a cross over cable for that?
