He got sacked so many times its rediculous. And the passing up of Reggie was a complete mistake.
Speaking of mistakes the Bears still like Grossman
Im for Orton...
lol carr is sack-tacular but mike sherman is our o-line coach now. i think he's only been sacked once in the preseason so far.
orton was the QB that played for the bears while rex was injured?

Yeah Orton was last years hero.
Heres a synopsis of the Bears QB situation right now.
1st String- Rex Grossman. To date he has started 7 games or so, has never gone a season without injury (three seasons in a row, yes he got injured his rookie year that everyone forgets about). I think he is 3-4 or so.
2nd String-Brian Griese. The best passer rating QB the Bears franchise has EVER had. Fact. Not much else to say...a seasoned vet.
3rd String-Kyle Orton. Only 4th round or later pick to win 10 games rookie year. Did everything that was asked rookie year after being propelled from 3rd string to 1st string in one week.

i agree orton managed the offense but thats all he really did. he took good care of the ball, i.e. little turnovers. the bears D is really what won games for them last season. rex is more skilled at that position than orton (at least in the couple of games i've seen him in). and if he stays healthy this year, he gets the opportunity to show it.

Okay...maybe I am a little pessimestic about this issue.
But yeah, I think Griese should start if Rex goes down mid season, but if he goes out early im all for giving Orton more experiance under center.
