Default NOW IS THE TIME TO LEGALIZE AND TAX MARIJUANA NATIONALLY

What's up people... I'm asking everyone to participate in this poll and for those of you who are pro like me, I ask you to participate in some manner either by emailing your state reps either in DC or your State Capital by simply signing pre-written Emails to those respective state and Federal elected officials in congress and the senate. Instead of me arguing why we should end prohibition on Cannabis follow these links and educate yourselves. We are America, Lets exercise our rights.

Most definetly. this is our nations biggest problem, the DEA and the war on drugs is an EPIC waste of money, do this and youll see our economy fixed instantly...

fact: growing marijuana in California ALONE makes double if not tripple the amount of money the wine industry makes in California.

I'm for it. To prohibit the sale and use of a substance that is less dangerous than alcohol is absurd to me. The revenue generated by the taxation of marijuana would be a massive boost to the economy, not even taking into account the relief on law enforcement agencies as well as the prison system.

The fact is, whether you approve or not, the use of MJ isn't going away. It's easier for underage kids to buy a bag of weed than it is to get a pack of smokes or alcohol. If it was legalized/regulated, we could ensure that only people over the pre-determined age can get it. (yes, I know that's not 100%, but there's nothing stopping them currently)

I've personally seen people get violent/belligerent/hurt because they were drunk... the worst thing I've ever seen from someone on weed was them ruin a bag of doritos and fall asleep. It's not dangerous and it's not a 'gateway drug' It's less chemically dependent than nicotine or alcohol... it's time.

Repealing alcohol prohibition helped the country get out of the great depression... well, here we are again.

YESSSS!!!! DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was watching a show on tv about pot in cali, and I think they said that the state made something like 1.5 billion in taxes off of the stores that sold pot in cali. Now think of it on a national level.

Pot > Cigarettes

Lets legalize pot and ilegalize cigarettes.

And I agree, getting a bag of weed is easier then getting a bottle of alcohol. Back in HS two of my best friends were drug dealers, not to mention that the other 95% of my friends were pot heads, and look at me, i turned out fine... kinda . I honestly don't know many people who have not smoked pot. off the top of my head, 2 of all my friends have never smoked pot in their life. And Cigarettes are just disgustin.

i say yes...to any and all drugs...but like alcohol, they need to be regulated and used responsibly. For poor use should come consequences.

not only will this create new taxable revenue, but there will also be a surplus of government money that was used towards the war against drugs that has not achieved one thing.

I voted yes, but only if it is taxed at the same rate that tobacco is and it has the same restrictions of use similar to alcohol & tobacco.
also should have reductions in tax rates if used for litigation of chemo/cancer side affects.
HOWEVER.... it's use should be denied to those whose occupations cannot have any degradations of judgments..IE: law enforcements, judges, truck drivers, doctors or anyone whom others lives or their safety depends on a "clear head"
