Yeah dude she's just trying to take away something you like to feel in control. I have learned that women will do this. If not ****, it's something else. Could be your love of modding/ showing/ racing/ etc...
For instance, in my case I've been with my g/f for 5 1/2yrs NONSTOP (meaning never breaking up). We are getting married next October. She is trying to tell me that I have to get rid of my pet snake that I have had ever since I knew her because she is "afraid" of it. In my opinion that is very selfish of her. Whether she likes him or not is none of my concern. It is my long term pet. I watched him grow from about 2ft long up to 7ft so far. Maybe he's not as "cute" as a dog, but if anything he's probably LESS dangerous than one.

FHM, Stuff, and Maxim? Easy solution to this.
GQ, Men's Health, Men's Vogue. Same type of stuff (maybe with more expensive clothes though) without the women. This way you get your content without the useless filler.
And the training shrink, maybe they did not teach you yet, but what if your gf is HOT (and skinny as hell) but still thinks she is fat? Last thing you want to tell an anorexic is to try "looking better". We do not know the whole situation.
The fact is you two need to talk about this, find her feelings for why she does not like it and find your feelings for why you need to read those mags when others will do. And "just because" and "I don't know" are not good enough. She may get mad and you may play it off as it being natural but that is only both you you trying to save yourself from coming to terms with part of who you are.

I am of the opinion that you take what you get from people. If they have a disgusting habit you don't like, you either learn to live with it, or move on. Looking at people as moldable clay because they have certain things you like (looks/money), but do certain things in life that you don't like (have fun), is reprehensable. It's also a major source of conflict in relationships when the one being molded stops responding to the molding process. Oh, they'll give in for a while to get that nookie, but eventually, it'll stop. Kinda like fellatio stops after "I do".
That being said, you looked at the mags when you didn't have her, she started dated you while you were looking at the mags and calandars, it's what you do. You are absolutely doing nothing wrong here. Have you considered the possibility that yall aren't compatable?

^^shoegun wow a guy with more brains than to just say ridiculously immature and stupid remarks
Being italian it's in my blood to be jelous. You (OP) need to quit complaining. There are ppl out there that do not have the luxury of having a person love them or love one.
Talk to her. Why is it hard for u to give up on those magazines? Did you ask yrself that? (I'm sure there are other versions of magazines with all that info but no ugly hoes in them
)
In my relationship I told him from the start what I didn't like and I states "take it or leave it" he took it and he avoided doing the things that bothered me, just like I stopped talkin to guys on MSN, smoked less cigs, etc etc
Relationships are based on compromises otherwise there will always be one happy person and one sad person in a couple. You say you love each other, so whats the fuss about? Magazines > yr love for her then. And that's just sad.
Also, it's funny to see how one guy makes a retarded comment and most ppl follow just to look "cool"
Don't let us fools fool you.

Everyone wants to grow and change and become a better person. I'm not talking even about major lifestyle changes (although they can be included), but everyone wants the best for themselves. Regardless of friend or girlfriend, you want those close to you to be the best they can be, and ideally you help them achieve their goals.
Insecurity leaks into the relationship life, but if it is there, it will be prevalent in all aspects of her (or his) life. She is a lessor person for that and has less ability to achieve her potential. Even if you wholly accept someone for who they are, it is your responsibility to help ensure that they move forward in their goals.
And believe me, if she is insecure with you, she will be insecure at work (when her boss criticizes her or when a coworker outperforms her). . . with your children (if and when you have any), and with her own family.
