i think the singer donovan was referencing that when he sang the song "mellow yellow" in the 60s; but from what i understand it isn't true and was an "old wives' tale". from what i've heard though, they do make you lose your balance.

exactly!...i'm working on being "post literate"("post" as in after or done, not the internet forum reference)....no longer reading the written word. it's tough...you can imagine, everywhere i turn i see writing. i can just imagine what it's like to try not to think. wow....it'd be like that whole "try not to think of an elephant" and the first thing i'd think of is an elephant. gl with that.

I dont think you can even try to answering any of those questions until you answer/explain this one. What came first the chicken or the egg? If you can answer this age old question. Then you may move on to the next philisophical question, that stands in your way, young grasshoppers.

see, that one had puzzled me for some time...anyway, i went to a deli with a fellow "truth searcher"....to answer the "age old" question i ordered a chicken salad sandwich and my friend ordered an egg salad sandwich to see which came first and you know what....the egg salad came first (i would have bet otherwise). we were kinda ticked that we had to start eating at different times but i'm a fast eater so the universe came back into homeostasis.

here's o look at the chicken/egg question. i don't 100% agree, but i don't disagree with it. In an evolutionary world, things must exist before potentials are realized. so, something must evolve into a chicken before it becomes able to create eggs outside it's body. so, the chicken evolved all the way from a single celled organism (which reproduce by splitting) into a chicken, and then the chicken adapted to have eggs outside it's body.
In a creationist world, the chicken was created by god(or aliens, or whatever you believe or don't).
in both cases, the chicken actually comes first.

Here's one.....

If humans are the most intelligent life on earth, then why does nature always get the better of us every time?
no matter what we do nature seems to have it's own answer to counter it. where is nature's consciousness? do the squirrels gather the intelligence for nature(heard this once)?

i mean this one kinda as a joke, but if you think about it, it has a ring of truth to it.

(don't show this to any squirrels please. i don't want them to find out i'm on to them.)

You have to gently tap on them with a metallic object to see what sound they make - some go "knick" and some go "knack." Knicks go on the left side shelves of a knick knack cabinet, knacks on the right... Thank you for asking.

As to whether of not animals have souls (or spirits), I don't know about all of them, but dogs do, and even the dogs think so. http://www.tijil.org/blog/?p=4

No, no, no! To separate the odds from the ends, you need to determine quantity. Obviously they will be an odd number of "odds" and only one each of "ends," since they are, well, "ends."

The remaining even quantities of flotsam COULD be knick knacks (tap them to determine) or simply junk. (Thought even some 'junk' can be combined with bric-brac to make kitsch presentations...)

If still in doubt, I would recommend consulting an expert... (most families have at least one quite willing to offer guidance and professional opinions on most anything.)

Tomas--YOU ARE THE EXPERT--and I defer to your judgement on all things Odd, Knicked, Knacked, or even Ended!!!!!
