I read a So Cal truckin mag (there was nothing else there, and like a 45 min wait...plus it's funny to see the jackhole trucks) and they said, "Don't ever put mudflaps on your truck, compromising your trucks look isn't worth saving the $ for a fix-it ticket." (something like that) I was like "WTF?" I dunno if you guys have seen that mag, but it's bros on parade.

In fact, if you get hit by a decent sized rock, and note their plate number, and that they have no mud flaps, you can hold them liable.
all this hatred towards me, god thats not nice, im not a serious bro, not so crazy and stupid like the rest of them, kinda like the style of clothes, and lifted trucks there is nothing wrong with lifted trucks, they may see it as why the h3ll do they lower their car so low its just like you guys and lowering your car, or my car, they like the truck lifted plain and simple

I see your point. . . and you have a valid one.
But on lowering vs. lifting:
Lowering:
1. Does not provide any dangers/damage to other vehicles
2. Adds marginal handling improvements, which contribute to better overall safety and maneuverability
Lifting:
1. Decreases on road handling, maneuverability, braking, and stability
2. Increases the likelyhood of a fatality in an accident when other OEM height vehicles are involved, as the bumpers will not meet, often decapitating other innocent drivers
3. Blinds oncoming traffic with headlights which are at inapproriate height/aim, not to mention illegal.
4. Without mudflaps, contributes to millions of dollars of damage/year in broken windshields and paint damage to innocent vehicles to the rear.

lowering vs lifting
lowering:
bumpers do not meet when a collision with an oem height vehicle occurs
slow down for every little bump
any small debris on the road can cause you damage
lifting:
yes it decreases handling
yes it causes damage
i cant argue with that

Lowering only causes increases damage liklihood for the occupants of that vehicle. . . not others. Often times, lowering DOES NOT move the bumpers out of the legal specs for bumper height. Furthermore, slowing down for bumps is not an inherent danger, so long as nobody is tailgating. And again, debris only causes damage to the occupants' vehicle, not to others. Besides, you shouldn't be speeding over bad terrain anyway. Speed bumps are their for a reason (to SLOW DOWN) and rough patches on bad roads should be taken with CAUTION. If people want to be stupid, it's their perrogative. But if it endangers other people, I have a problem.
Lifting creates danger and causes damage to INNOCENT people who have nothing to do with you. I'm not an a hole, otherwise I would consider keying every lifted truck (without mudflaps) to return the favor of rock chips on the front of my stock height car.
Police Don't pull lifted trucks over for being TOO High...Yet pull over cars for being TOO low!!!....What da Heck...I guess Having a lifted truck & running over people that you cant SEE is good??......and cutting off other cars Cuz you are TOO high???...
I dont "hate"...I just Dislike being around lifted trucks...

[alternate] With a truck that big he's gotta be hung like a horse[/sarcasm]
(f you see his myspace, he's gotta be only about 110 lbs or so)
Yeah, i'm over that, just sayin...big talk, small man...small *****, NO game,
Actually, NOT ALL big trucks belong to bro's, i came across a OFF-ROADERS forum a while back where they were all talking crap about bro's and saying how they ruin glamis and off-roading and stuff, LOL< so now i gotta think twice b4 i see a big truck, but the moment i see that kmk sticker or hat flipped up....shame on them
Well yes, there is a difference. My boyfriend has a yellow FJ, and he is going to lift it, but he is only going to lift it enough as to where it will help him off road with ground clearance, but when people put stupid lifts on their black chevies (most of the time, it is either a chevy or a ford, lots of options, as with our cars) and say that it is so they have better ground clearance, it is a load of you know what. Why do they need ground clearance when all they ever drive on is a street?
Also, if they knew any better, and if they ever really went off road, they would know not to get black, because if you happen to pass by some simple bushes (and get "natural pin striping") it shows alot more on black. Which is why if you are going to get an off roading vehicle, you want to get a bright color. (Which is why I don't understand why the TRD edition FJ Cruiser only comes in black on black! Makes no sense!!)
So, you are correct, not every lifted truck is a bro, but if it is a non functional lift, on a black truck with white "socal" or "Famous" stickers on it, with a kid driving, then yes, it is in deed a bro!!

I am so with this thread! All the jacka$$es who lift up there trucks, and think they own the road, and put there headlights in my eyes need to rethink there situation. We all pay taxes so we all own the road, why should we put up with these sorry excuses for "drivers". That's my two cents, can't wait to get flamed on. But no matter what anyone says, after almost getting monster trucked twice in life in standard sedans; I've got a fire in my belly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Stephanie, thanks for supporting my Anti Bro Movement. lol...... But the main thing I point out is that "why do people that live in the city have'em?" They bash the 909 for being in the sticks and in the middle of no where, but they go there every darn weekend and go camping in my backyard. Stay at the beach and get your skin cancer on and louis vuiton don gear rockin and leave the So Cal gear, Fleshgear and Fox Racing for us trash in the 909. that ish belongs to us. Glamis is not in Monarch Bay and Newport Beach.
Wait....Kirby.....are you saying that you don't even like when people off road???? I would have to dissagree with that one (argue with me all you want!)! Off roading is fun!! And if you have a truck that has the capabilities to do so, then go ahead, but if you are a dumb azz, and flip over cuz your truck is too lifted, then good, you deserve it!!
When I go offroading, I go over technical terrain where the truck has to articulate and work to get over the boulders and such. That is offroading. And I admit, urban offroading is fun too (as a matter of fact, I went last night, we went to this HUGE parking lot that floods when it rains, and we drove through it as fast as we could and put up about 20 ft. waves!!!), but if you are disturbing people, then go away!!!
I would honestly have stupid people drive ricers than trucks because when a ricer gets in an accident because they are dumb, they get hurt more, but when a bro gets in an accident because they are dumb, they do more damage to the other vehicle. That's an honest oppinion.
....sorry for all the novels!!!

Unfortunately, performance mods like lowering are not in themselves inherently dangerous. However, too many fart can rice boys like to drive like idiots. Generally, it's a high correlation of fart can racer to idiotic driver (usually breaking several laws, including drug possession). Bad drivers cause accidents. It's pure and simple statistics. That's why cops like to get as many racers off the road as possible (whether or not you think it's fair).
To put it simply, modded (as in lowered and tuned) usually implies a law breaker who will drive like an idiot. "Bro's" seldom break as many laws as racers do (at least in terms of traffic laws). . . but after 2AM, they are huge DUI targets.
That's why I like to keep a low profile so that I don't attract police attention. My buddy drives like saint and never speeds. . . but he gets pulled over all the time. . . and even randomly searched. And then the cops have the nerve to say that they thought a tail light was out. His car is a beat up civic that looks like a racer/ricer.
I consistently speed excessively on open roads. . . havn't been pulled over in about 3 years (and that was before I had a radar detector).
