Oh man, I hate balikbayan boxes.. My lola sent a big box almost every 2 weeks back when we were in Guam

 

yeah man those boxes are killer especially with the colorful ribbons Pinoys come up with. hahaha

You ever notice how freakin badass your grandparents/uncles/aunties can tie rope? The way they tie those boxes up would put the boyscouts to shame :D

 

oh yeah? i have 2 ready to be shipped and 2 boxes ready to be packed right now! lol. dude seriously.. they have to stop giving out free boxes.. damn you LBC, Alpha Cargo and SBC Packers. lol

 

What's funny is that when my family goes back "home", there's 6 of us w/ 12 mother f'in boxes each weighing 70 lbs and they think they're bada$$ because of all the boxes. hahahaha. My wife asked "how come you people don't travel in regular luggages"???? I really dont have an answer for her. hahaha. Anybody know the answer?

 

It's cheaper than buying 12 xxxl-sized luggage bags Your wife is questioning our travelling habits? She should be more concerned as to why we eat half-incubated eggs (balut) and eat dishes primarily composed of pig's blood and pig intestine.

 

haha... easy answer: tell her that cuz if ____s happen like a box gets torn apart, you can just throw the box away cuz your done giving the stuff inside and dont really have the need for those boxes anymore. on your way home, your clothes could probably fit in one backpack since most of the stuff in the box are all pasalubong. HAHAHAHA. well, OK, maybe a little bit bigger than a backpack cuz you need to bring back some kakanin for your tita's and titos and friends here to try our delicacies back home... or for those who are homesick. AND the boxes are much cheaper and can pack more stuff than those luggage's.

 

Very nice. Dude my next business trip or vacation with my wife, I should pack in a balikbayan box. Matter of fact when we go to SEMA next week I should pack in a box. hahahaha
