Are those wooden rims? Side note I doubt anyone in Texas would have a single speed outside of Austin so I never get to see all these crazy modded bikes irl; Just the people who think they are pro with their 10,000 all carbon fiber bikes. There are these two SUPER ____ black dude who ride at the park in all pink, green, and yellow that fly by me when I am pedaling my as off going 20mph who are so pro they can pull it off.

 

Picked up a new bike a few weeks ago, 2011 Trek Gritty

 

1976 Trek 510. The first year of Trek when all the frames were hand built in a barn. Still the original paint and stickers.

 

Took the brakes off...

DEAD THREAD REVIVAL

Wanted to post up my recent purchase, a State Bicycle Co. "Contender."

It's shipping out today, I'll post up some pictures when I get it and put it together.
It'll stay "stock" for a while, but I'm planning on getting some Animal pedals and HoldFast straps within a month and maybe a crazy-colored Aerospoke front wheel over the summer.

Got "my" bike this morning.. State shipped the wrong order to me. >
Its the right size frame, wheels, and seat, but the box they sent me purposely didnt come with a crankset and some other handlebars (I read this on a tiny label on the outside of the box after realizing I was missing the crank). They sent me somebody's custom order.
So.. No pictures yet.

 

I used to ride more trails/single track, but now I use it primarily as a commuter or on paved trails. I still have my knobby tires, so I can swap out if I know I'll be riding limestone or dirt.

 

i would ride but the seat is pinching my nerves gets really painful so i quit riding

 

Dang, dude. Couldnt you get a different seat..?

The rest of my parts are on the way. Should have them next week some time.
