i am venting here....I don't know if it is just me but every time i post something.... some one has to write in there "Why don't you do a search this has been disscussed before"... but what they don't know is i did search and could not find what i am looking for so i ask ......and then i get that crap.....sorry just letting off some steam ...any one else have my problem or is it just me?

 

Depends on the mod I suppose... if someone is looking for something... best thing that a Mod could do (in that situation) is to post a relevant link and prove they found it by searching.

Of course this can go for regular users too. If you think something has been covered before, don't just say "repost... blah blah blah" ... at least give a valid link that proves it. THEN we might lock the thread or something.

 

people say it all the time its getting to the point where it means nothing.. I have done searches for things and found nothing many of times. It depends on the way you title your search also (imo) it may not find exactly what you search for...

 

Ya... it can vary.

My suggestions:
- To Those Posting: if you search for something and can't find it, mention it in your post, maybe even WHAT you searched for.

- To Those Replying: if you post just to say it's a repost or use the search, you're about as useless as sugar in a gas tank. If you're going to tell someone to search, give them some search terms and point to some example results. Show them that there were results if you search!
