I agree most may say that the XBOX 360 has more games, but one thing to think about is that the xbox 360 has nearly a year over the PS3. Just be patient if you have a ps3 cause more games will be released as time passes by. I chose the PS3 due to the fact that I own the PS1 and PS2, they were/ are both great systems in their time. no worry for red ring of death here

 

and ps3 doesnt really have any problems, like x-box 360has the "red rings of death" (similar to blue screen of death).. and dont pay jack for online..

 

I just noticed that someone resurrected my old thread. The decision has been made. He has made it VERY clear that he wants an Xbox 360. I guess all of his friends have them and the on-line play will be fun for him. I've already bought it (he will get it Christmas morning). Microsoft has supposedly fixed the hardware issues, plus the place where I bought it sold me an extra in-store replacement warranty. No waiting if he does have a problem.

 

well other than that issue.. then the decision was great.. have you gotten games for it? there are some really good racing games for it.. then there is Bioshock.. which is one of the greatest games ive ever played..

He's not really in to racing games too much, but the system I got him comes with one. It comes with Forza 2 Motorsports and Marvel Ultimate Alliance . I have no idea if he'll like those or not. He likes sports (football, baseball, basketball...etc). I also got him Madden '08 and Halo 3.

 

you made a good choice going with the 360. Especially considering a lot of the "PS3 Exclusives", have been ported to 360. with the exception of metal gear solid 4 metal gear online, and final fantasy.

 

One guy at work has bought the 360 3 times, because the first 2 failed, and they weren't offering a trade in program.

2 other dudes switched to PS3 when their 360's died.

As long as Microsoft will gladly replace your 360 once a year, it shouldn't be a problem.

 

BTW, what's the word on GTA IV? Which system(s) will it be available on?

well actually since the beggining GTA IV is coming for both PS3 and X360 but due to some problems with PS3 version it was pushed back to March 08!

 

i wish gta came out this year
