again.... not understanding why he did what he did...

what about all those people driving fast and racing on the streets?? it's about playing with fire and knowing what you're doing..

and only then the people that commented on his "common sense"... my point exactly.

steve loved nature.. and embraced it.. shared it to the world.. things that no other human being was able or dared to do.

leave it at rest... and let the guy rest in peace.

yea true... but if u got bit by a snake you would have the branis to stop!!! its like say i LOVE playing on the freeway... one day i run across and get hit.. and some how survive... when im in the hospital do u thin kthat i will be thinking.. man cant wait to go out there again and get hit by another friggin car... no only a stupid a$$ would go back... nobody in there right state of mind would go play with these f-ing animals!!!

Interesting point of view... guess we should all stop racing because of the dangers.. guess we should all stop driving because of the large risk, guess I should stop doing my job because I have been injured before... Guess I need to sell my quads because I will get hurt again at some point, possibly serious... man your logic is the same as a hermits. We do the things we do in life dangerous or not because we love them and enjoy them. He loved what he did, I respect that, goofy or not, he did great things especially for animals and preservation. His death was not "playing with animals", was a freak accident. If he had his head taken off by a crock or somthing like that we would all expect it. But a friggin stingray wound to the chest? man that is tragic. Ah well man, off topic as usual in this forum *LOL*.
arguments said and done.

R.I.P. and thank you so much for the conservation efforts and I hope many more strive to be what you were and do what you do so that my children may one day be ABLE to see such a creature.

lets keep Terri, Bindi Sue, and Bob in our prayers!!

jacques cousteau did the same thing for many many years and was respected as well. tons of other divers did this because it was a way of life. i'm sure steve irwin didn't intentionally put himself in danger with a stingray to ____ it off. he was doing what he loved and paid the price for it. i'm sure if it was one of your family members doing this you would support their love for it and if something tragic happened you wouldn't say "they ad it coming to them" have some respect for human life for a change

first off
RIP steve irwin

everybody on here understands that he (in one way or another had it coming) or was bound to happen, but to say that "this is down right stupid" right after you
say that you jump out of planes is just sheer brilliance

god didnt put us on this earth to fly

so when your shoot doesnt open next time at least you will have time to say to YOURSELF "i kinda had this coming"
that would be tragic and that is all everyone is saying

the austrialian zoo wouldnt be as big as it is with out the money so yeah he did it for the money
however you cant say that is the only reason

No worries man, the guy above is a little young and does not know the extent of great things that crazy guy did for the world. Yeah he put himself in danger, but like someone said, my kids would never see the majority of the animals he filmed, they would not even be able to learn about them. He brought to life for many of us the wild when most people live in the city.

Good call, say a prayer for the kids and family. Even though they have allot of cash, hope they make a larger foundation to donate to over this to help preservation.
