R34 owner gets US DOJ letter : 60 Days to Export or Surrender.
Well, the R34 aren't legal at all in the states ever. Since I'm guessing this guy had tried to get the car in as a grey market import for his own personal use, he's gonna have to figure out some sort of fancy legal manuever if he wants to keep the car legally.
I suppose he could get it liscenced as a show or dealer demonstration car or something.
Or maybe he could have the car shipped to Canada or Mexico.

I believe only the R33 is legal in the US..R32 and R34 became illegal a few years back. In order to import and license a skyline, you would need to test crash 2 additional skylines. The guy who owns this skyline probably never got the additional skylines tested because its expensive. Kinda like paying for 3 skylines when you only bought one.
a friend of my brothers has a white r34. and he has it registered here without a problem, DMV plates perfect registration and insurance. he paid alot to register the car thought i forget how much it was exactly, but after a week of owning the car he crahsed it bc he wasnt use to the RHD, nothing bad though jus sum1 sideswipped him

Well, according to Cali law, every 10 R34's are responsible for the deaths of .000101 polar bears every six centuries. Don't quote me on that, but it's probably scary accurate... their way of thinking, not the death figures. They're saving the world man!
