Reaching out to the Scion community nationwide for help
First of all Thank you. . . for taking your time to read this. I do appreciate it, really.
Hi, my name is Zae. I am the VMFIC of NorCal Westbay Scikotics. I am writing to every Scion Life member to help a country in need. No, i'm not asking for money but instead your support for the helpless people of Burma. Perhaps some of you may have heard of what has happened and what is still going on there and some of you have no idea.
Myanmar, which was once called Burma is being controlled by evil dictators who are only looking out for themselves! They have murdered many, many innocent "families". I do say FAMILIES because these tyrants not only go after a person who rebels against them but also the family. They are cruel and savage. This is why people of Burma are afraid. Families being wiped out and disappear from the face of the earth, people starving to death, especially children! This is why the Buddhist monks could no longer bare to watch it happen any longer. They stood up and protested against the evil government, but was cracked down, thrown in prison, hunted down those who ran, and worse killed. Monks and people were burned alive, yes there are proof of that. Bodies were also burned to keep the death toll down to hide it from the rest of the world. These are only a few of many many evil things this government do.
So I write to you, not only as a Scikotic, but also as a human being who understands human rights, who understands family values, who understands what freedom means. I am from Burma. I came here when I was 6 1/2 years old. I was there when the 1988 protest happened. I've seen the big tanks rolling down Rangoon's main street with hundreds of soldiers, whom had rifles aiming at protesters. I can hear gun shots a few blocks away, many people screaming in the midst of the night. It was awful. Perhaps that's why my parents came here . . for freedom.
Here is the info on the 1988 issue. It should give you a sense of what happened. http://burma-windofchange.blogspot.c...-protests.html
Here is the link that I would like everyone to visit and sign. http://www.burmaitcantwait.org/burmaitcantwait/
It's not much that I am asking. As of now "voices for burma" number is around roughly 37,000. We need a million and would like to have the Scion community in it as well. I have already signed it.
Again, I thank you all for your kind support for all the people who are so much in need.
