Great idea Crispy, just thought I would give my fellow members a heads up since most people don't go outside our region here.

Koolaid, if you check the link there is a good amount of information on there about what is going on and if you need more it should have the contact info to find out more. Bottom line..........if you bought a diamond within the last 10 years it's worth checking out.......if not then don't worry about it.

 

Diamonds are ridiculously expensive. With what I paid for my wife's engagement ring, I could have bought a nice used car instead. But even then, I got a really good deal on it (not the usual 300% markup).

 

But I'm sure she deserved the ring :D

Not to take away from the significance of this thread, but has anyone heard about the Tiffany and Co. scandal? A fake diamond necklace was sold to a customer, and when he went to return it because of whatever reason, they told him that it was fake. In the end, Tiffany and Co. admitted that they SOLD a fake one to him and he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time..

Ron White was pretty funny, so was the ad from Family Guy. Had the two lovers silhouette, guy gives the girl the ring, then (how do I put this tactfully) she starts to lower her head, fade to black.. "Diamonds, she'll pretty much have to."

 

I just heard this again on the radio this morning, they are saying that it's within 14 years! Wow, the company is going to take a deserved hit.
