I barely heard it, had to really strain to hear it tho... It sounded like a 60 hertz hum.

you gotta line your ear up with the speaker and crank up the volume.. i only hear it in my left ear... my left ear is really sensitive to high frequency noises.. it feels like (yeah.. not sounds) a really bad pinging in your ears

kids that are young haven't had sub woofers blasting in the back of their cars for ten years yet so they still good ears. I can barely hear it and I have to listen to train horns every day.

OMFG that kills my ears at any level. My father in law bought one of those sonic things to keep gophers out of his yard and I could hear that too.

I saw this on the news but never got to hear the full story. So when I went to the page to listen to it I figured it would be sort of quiet high pitched sound. i turned up the volume on my laptop a little bit and hit play.. uggggh I think i blew my ear drums out. That sound is soo annoying. There is no way I could have that as a ringtone on my phone.

 

I saw this on another site. I had no problem hearing it, I also have Ipod like headphones too. As for my volume...see for your self
