Default Satellite Internet?

Hows it going out there folks? Just had an idea I thought I would get some advice on. I'm planning a long trip in my car. Now, when I say long, I mean living in my car while I travel across the United States and parts of Canada. I was pondering things that would be nice while on the trip, and the idea of Internet came to mind. Now my question is..... Is there any way to hook up wireless internet inside my car, and be able to travel while still getting internet. Is the possibility of satellite internet out of the question of is that possible? Would it just be easier to stop by the local internet cafe' in whatever town I was in?Thanks in advance.

It's not really satellite internet but you can pick up a wireless card for Cingular's "Edge" or Verizon's wireless internet service.

Problem is....it sucks.

I don't care what anybody says, the service is dialup only wireless.

Stick with the internet card. Sat internet is slower. Trust me. Ive run on it and had others that ran on it. Nothing but woes.

Thanks everybody for the input. I'll do some more research on internet cards and where in the country they are available. What's this
Netstumbler
you talk about? Is it legal? Is it hard to detect?

not illegal at all... basically, its a detection tool, scans for wireless networks, tells you if its locked or not and what the signal strength is...
http://www.netstumbler.com/
the only thing illegal is by using someone's internet without their permission, but if its an open wireless that is for the public, then its, well, free for everyone... just dont go sit in someones driveway tapping into their wireless network some cities offer free wireless downtown for the tourist and other businesses and offer a faster connection for a small fee... all of baton rouge and new orleans downtown has free wireless...
