Default Scion tC XMods From RadioShack Are Here!!! Updated w/Pics!!!

My room mate works for Radio Shack at a store here in Texas and he told me 3 days ago that his store got in *GASP* the price tags for a new XMod moddable RC car model: the tC!!! w00t! He said the stores may have the actual cars in as soon as this coming week, but doesn't know anything more specific. I'm def. getting one to drive around at work on the floor.
I've got cash already waiting so he can pick me one up the day the XMods arrive.. w00t! I'll try to get him to find out more definite information when he gets back from Houston on Friday and I'll put up anything I find here..
I have a 350Z XMod and had a blast upgrading it and driving it around.. It'll be even better with a tC.. I hope they don't look like poo..

Cool i've got a skyline one. They are kind of addicting once you start"modding" it.But mines screwed cuz I tried to put a real big motor on it and it just eats the batteries. Time for a tC one. Post when they come out.

Nope. His store has only recieved the preprinted price tags for them, but no pics. I'll get some up here as soon as they come in and/or I get one. I'll do some calling later this morning to a few stores in the area and see if they know anything..

Anyone know what Flint Mica touchup paint costs at the dealership? I might buy some, touch up the two tiny nicks in my hood and paint the XMod to match

Touch-up paint costs about 6 or 7 dollars. I already repainted my Skyline X-Mod pearl white. I used spray paint. Using the touch-up brush will be really tough to get a good finish imo.

Yeah.. But where in the world am I going to get a spray can of Flint Mica? If someone knows, PLEASE enlighten me
I might have to rig some sort of throw-away sprayer and buy 2-3 bottles to get it right..

It'll most likely be silver too. Just like mine. No need to paint it!! Woo hoo!

I just called a few RadioShacks around the area and the most they know is that they're expecting new models. But that's all everyone knows. One girl thought they were going to be a Christmas release thing.. WTH..
I'd believe them except my room mate's store already has the price tags.. And I worked for RadioShack so I know how they operate.. They don't put tags out in July for Christmas items.. I'm guessing they're shooting for the first sales cycle in August..

dont waste your money on the stock xmods kit.......buy the body and build the chassis. when i was into xmods my AWD skyline could 35 mph on the little tamiya dyno thing.

cost me about 250.00 to get it that fast, but much more intresting.

I'm not interested in speed with the tC XMod. I'd go with a gas-powered chasis if that were my interest.

I'm not sure. I'd say last Christmas-ish maybe? I hope the tC is available before Scion Invasion in NM... I want to drive it around the show with me Like I said, RadioShacks usually get preprinted tags for new products no more than a month in advance, so I'm expecting it's release to be soon. I'll try to get more outta my room mate when he gets back tomorrow..

Spiff. I wonder if the Christmas thing holds any truth, since I heard the same rumor here? I tend to think it's just the employee's suspisions. The fact remains that at least one store here has recieved pricing for the items. I'm clinging to the hope that that's an indicator that they will arrive sooner rather than later..

The tiny ones are ZipZaps and they arn't upgradeable. The XMods are 1:24 scale I believe, and you can upgrade the motors, suspension, tires, body, and other things to make them faster, handle better, look cooler. They're pretty spiff if you don't mind blowing money on them..
