Default Scioncandy.com

Scioncandy.com is the name of the website that BlueOnyxxB is trying to start up with the pics from the 130 dollar game that was here on this forum. I don't know if everybody is aware of it, but this guy isn't a good role model at the very least. He offered to paypal 5.00 to anybody that could help him on htmlforum.com when he was building his site. I just wonder if they got paid I know I didn't. My feelings on this new website is if he can't keep up his end of the bargain then I don't think he should use the pics. I personally will let everybody I can know what kind of guy he is.

Here are a couple of links to sites he is at

www.scioncandy.com this one isn't working yet hopefully never will.

Go to this thread
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...r=asc&&start=0
I'm the one who posted a pic that lasted 24 hrs. without anybody posting.
The guy that started the thread is either a loser or a scam artist or I am totally wrong and he's a good guy and he's been in a accident and can't get to a computer. I PM'd him and he recieved the messages after I won, so I am leaning towards the first two guesses.

The big deal is if you were the won that was supposed to win the 130.00 you would'nt be saying it's harmless. He didn't pay up, I'd say more like fraud.

I was posting in that thread, too and I completely understand why you started this thread.

everyone who posted in that thread gave him the rights to use your personal photograph for anything he wants.

so, in essence, i hear you saying that it's okay to print and sell hundreds of raffle tickets for a raffle of a new car and keep all to money "for anything (one) wants", but not actually give anyone a car?

that is basically what this person did. an argument can be made that he has no rights to any of the photos since he didn't honor his end of the contract by paying the winner the $130.00.

obviously, people do defraud one another but it really is about principle.

lastly, imo, a vehicle enthusiasts' website is probably the wrong place to pull this sort of thing (as witnessed by the infamous posting by someone of their alleged girlfriend when it wasn't....people in freakin' china are wearing t-shirts with that guys face on it).

but again, the guy was in the middle of a move and he may be having difficulty.

hes probably reading this and

but honestly speaking, i think a lot of people who posted their pic on here just wanted to show off their car and didnt really expect to win this contest. i know that was what i was thinking. i only posted one pic and i was 3 pics before the winner.

I agree that this seems pretty fraudulent. I had my doubts intitially, when he had posted a thread about not being able to afford to fix a shopping cart ding in his door, yet he had a post offering 130 bucks to the winner of this contest.

PLEASE do not visit scioncandy.com - It has a hit counter on it, and if we all visit frequently, the numbers go up, and could justify actually building the site.

Well I see that a majority of the people here agree with me on being ripped off. Oh and SemaJames you were on scionLife when my 24 hrs. happened I thought for sure you were getting ready to post a pic. Also as far as showing off my car, other than being lowered it is practically stock, I was in that thread completely for the money.

And if anybody sees Pat King aka BlueOnyxxB ask him how the 130 dollar thread turned out.

hmm. first off the contest was in off-topic, not sponsored sales. i would think the guys running SL would have issue with someone trying to make a commercial buck without using the proper channels (usage of your pics for his commercial site + sponsor = his commercial gain).
So take it up with them for some resolution.

secondly "if you post a picture in this thread i can use it on my website" isn't exactly binding and legal. that is the weakest assignment of rights i have ever seen.

If you don't have my permission to use it and I wanted you to remove it you would find out that you are wrong.

he's on your side, jack. the problem, imo, is that many folk don't consider "photos" as property, particularly on the intarweb, and therefore, folk that understand property rights get into hassles with folk who do not.

by the same token this guy is a 22 year old kid who apparently can't take a shopping cart dent out of his scion but he'll pay 130 for a shot of yours. hello? you may have to just let it go and delete your photo from his website.

This is the point he made that I don't agree with. We all new he was planning on using the pics on a website which is fine with me, but he also said he would pay the winner of the game $130.00 dollars using paypal in 48 hours. If he would keep his end of the bargain there wouldn't be this issue or this thread for that matter.
jack, we see the issues but people rip folk off.
