ScionLife's Monthly DSLR Owners Contest!
this is a very broad subject and can be done anytime anywhere, so hopefully we get entries. The subject is "Repetition"
This is a very simple concept that can be interpreted several different ways
Examples
Rules
1. Must Be a SL member. and it must be taken with a DSLR camera. no P&S.
2.Each photographer competing in this contest must provide Images that are thier own. There is NO PLAGIARISM Accepted.
3. The image must be taken during the time period of the associated contest. I.E. the picture must be new. "NO OLD PICTURES" can be turned in. The point is to get you out and taking pictures.
4. Photoshoping or Image correcting or "modifying". WILL BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM. The point is not for you to take a picture and chop it to death. All that will be permitted in photoshop is color balance/saturation, brightness/contrast, and cropping. If I think that someone has edited their shot too much, I will request a submission of the original 100% untouched photo, and if the moderating staff feels that the entry went overboard in Photoshop, it will be disqualified. So everyone save their originals, but I hope to never have to enforce this.
5. All images must be sent in by the due date or they will be rejected. after the due date voting will take place. It will be a public poll.
6. Images that are submitted must be no bigger that 800x600.
7. 1 Image per photographer.
8. NO NUDITY OR PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL.
9. All images that ar submitted must not have a watermark or signature, special borders or anything to associate the pic with the photographer.. For example I would not put "o8tC" on my pic. This will help refrain from any decisions not being based on the pic and its quality.
10. TITLES!. Artists will be allowed to name the photo they submit. But the name Cannot be anywhere on the picture. The name of the picture must be provided in the submission e-mail with rest of the artists info.
11. Post your picture in this thread. Poll will be started at the end of the deadline.
12. Add the story behind the picture you have posted (not mandatory)
13. Add What camera was used, lens, specs, tripod, filters,
All entries must be received by March 31st, 2009.

Get out there and take some photos, we should be able to get some great shots for this subject, and I allowed 2 weeks til due date for people to get entries in. I'd like to get a good turnout for this one. Enjoy.

bragging rights...its really not about what you win. its just to see how creative people get with their photography when given a random subject. i cant wait to see what everyone comes up with.
