Scorpion, Fire, Death (PICS)
So after returning from the bars I walked upstairs and came across this beauty. A tiny scorpion was on my wall.
First order of business was to catch the little bugger. So I went back downstairs a took a glass. With a little finesse I wrangled him in. Now, there I sat watching him hang out in the glass when it I was reminded of a story that my dad told me. He said "Geoff, if you surround a scorpion with fire it will sting itself, because it has no other option of escaping" Yea OK dad! I was 12 at the time and believed every word from his mouth.
So I decided to put it to the test. Scroll below to take a look at the pics from my late night experiment:
The Scorpion:
Arizona Bark Scorpion
Materials:
Lighter
Swiss Fire Gel
Paint Stick
Set up:
Square of FIRE!
After lighting the fuel it took roughly 2 seconds for the scorpion to freak out. It ran in circles twice around the interior searching for an exit. A slight pause and then crawled full speed into the blazing wall (light orange flame).
As I sit here typing this every little tickle or itch is setting me off. Falling asleep should be fun tonight

You should've done a Saw deal with it. Smear the fire gel all over him and the ground around him, then light a Zippo and place it in front of his face. See if it's aggressive nature will lead to his ultimate demise. Mwhahaha.
Then if he didn't attack the lighter, move onto putting him in the middle of the square and light it. Even if he escapes the square he'd still get lit on fire.
Yes I referred to the scorpion as a he.

Depending on your location in AZ you could be seeing scorpions weekly, or never. I'm in the city and have yet to see one in the two years i've lived in AZ. I have a friend who lives out in the desert and has to deal with them ALOT.
Their like ants too.. if you see one theres more, they don't just walk in alone. One guy I knew had a nest in his wall.
Creepy shist.
