I personally like my 5%... when I get a ticket (and I am sure I will one day), I will remove it, but I will also take it to court a point out that there are many cops around Austin with that tint way below legal limit and that I didn't get it until I saw that cops were roaming around with it on.

I don't cause attention to myself, and when a cop approaches my car, I roll down the windowS (yes, both of them) so they can't see it. If they ask me to roll it up, then I will... but that hasn't happened yet. :::knocks on wood:::

It might be worth not having the tint so I don't have to go to measures to not get it seen, but like I said, I like it. I know that it's illegal - and I know that when I get the ticket, the cop will just be doing his/her job and that I will have deserved it.
