I really wish I could copy an paste it here.
Please check out the link before not getting gas on any certain day. I'm sorry for making another post after the first one was locked but I think this should be linked and read by everyone who hasn't already.

Name calling? Wow.
And no, it doesn't work and hasn't in your area. Here's some proof if you need it...

I find the whole concept of a gas out silly. Everyone who drives HAS to buy gas. There is NO way around it with current technoligies. Which day you do it on has little consequence. If you want to send a message to the oil companies, buy cars like Scions what get 30+ MPG. It wont REALLY matter since prices will be above $4.00 in no time, and big oil will get their profits one way (lower prices and higer consumption) or the other (higher prices and lower consumption).
If you think about $4/gal is still a very good deal when you look at the global average per gallon. I for one look forward to $5+/gal since I believe the only way to get people to drive less is to price more and more people out of it.

I like that the people who call others bad names can't even spell the words correctly:
synical aka cynical (which I am now guilty of being)
HAHAHAAH! Proof that we need spell check on here!
I can't say that I will not buy on the 15th, but I can't say I will either just gotta see if i need gas or not...Gotta say though , thats capitalism for ya!

Last year, one of my co-workers told everybody to not buy gas on the 15th. None of my explaining would change her mind either. I even copied out the information on the internet for her... nothing. She's 45 or so years old. *sigh*
I don't mind that people don't stop and think about how the Gas Out won't work. I mind that they're not open to learning why it won't. I also mind that now with MySpace being so popular, this Gas Out crap has been spread like wild fire. I care that my friends cease to spread such a silly thing and know the truth, just as I care that all ya'll who post on my almost favorite message board know the truth.

Last week, my mother-in-law was visiting, and we got into a conversation at dinner about how fundamentally flawed this 1-day boycott theory was and how profoundly stupid the people behind it must be in order to not grasp the basic economic theories that would prevent it from having any significant effect on gas prices. (and for the record, we were both in agreement).
Sure enough, by the time we got home, we had an email from my father-in-law (her husband) urging us not to buy gas on the 15th. Sheesh.

I'm going to buy extra gas today. I got like 10 gas cans of various sizes that can be filled... a riding lawn mower, a go-cart. Hell, I even have a full sized Chevy truck in need of a fill up, lol.
i forgot to buy gas cause i'm not even at a half a tank yet but what do i see is gas prices getting up to 3.50 a gallon
so i say f-it and deal with this bull plop and i drive some what slower avg. around 33-34 city mpg anyways!!!
