Somebody here HAS to know!
This is a silly question but I'll give it a shot.
Is there anywhere that you can send a sample of a sauce, flavoring or a salad dressing to determine what ingredients are in it? I LOVE this house salad dressing they have at Giordanos Pizza and I'd like to know what's in it...
Yes, I know it's a silly request but I'm sure some of you out there have thought of this too...

do you know any scientists? (while we are asking silly questions) if you do, get a sample and have that person run it at a lab hehe.
otherwise, beg for the name of the company

Actually I forgot where I saw this, but even under a microscope you can't really get all of the ingredients for something, so scientifically theres no way to find out.
Otherwise companys would be hiring whoever needed or buying whatever equipment to get the ingredients to the competition's foods.
Just find out the company that makes it, and ask that company what is in it and tell them your just a regular dude wanting the recipe to make some for yourself.

dude, all you gotta do is go in for a salad, and tell them you have some sort of food allergy concern, or your taking medication that can't be mixed with something or whatever, and that you need to examine the ingredients in the dressing. pretty simple huh? you might want to ask what is in a few other things.
looking at the website for giodano's pizza or whatever, what kind of dressing is it? the balsemic dressing? we make that ourselves at my restaurant. don't know all the ingredients, but it is like...olive oil, vinegar, oregano, crushed red pepper, pepper, probably a few other things, it doesn't look like rocket science to make.

Alright peoples, I called Giordanos today and I asked them.
Sara Lee makes it for them and it's their house dressing. She also called it the Italian dressing.
I MUST go and search for it now!...

I'm not saying they'll have what your looking for, I've never used the site before. But my aunt says you can find recipes to dishes from a lot of big name restaurants.
