Default Sponsoring (And How It Works?)

I was just thinking about this the other day. Say i get HEADERS for my 06 TC from DC SPORTS....do i ask them for a DECAL and just slap it on my ride and say im sponsored or is there alot more to it. I dont mean like gettin payed sponsored, since i see so many members sponsored here or there. Are you guys just saying this is the stuff i bought for my car and i put their sticker on.

And if so where would be your place to place that decal?

First you need to talk to the company, store, person who u would be wanting to be sponsored. Example, u wanna buy ur headers, u need to talk either to the store u would be buying the headers from or u need to talk to the company that makes them. They usually would want u to go to shows and competitions for a specific time. But let me tell u something, it's really really hard to get sponsored. U can go to www.carsponsorships.com and apply. they will let u know if u qualify to be sponsored and which companys would sponsor u. read the Terms and Conditions and it will give u a detailed explanation of what a sponsorship is and what u get from it and what u need to do

just because you have the part does not make u sponsored. U can get the sticker and put it on ur car if u like that sort of thing too. Too be sponsored...well xxB pretty much covered it above me. Many companies are always looking for a car to do R&D on for new products, so if you want to be the guinea pig and you can find a company who hasn't made a certain product for the tC yet, then ask them...apply!

carsponsorships is not necesarrily a scam per say...i just don't like the fact that they charge you some kind of fee up front and their sponsors are few and not that good either. Just my opinion
