Default Steve McNair vs. Matt Schaub

Who should I start?

McNair is older, but he has a better receiving corp. Schaub is young, 1st time as a starter but his receiving corp is kind of weak.

They both play evenly ranked defenses.

Also, McNair has to compete with McGahee for plays...

Play The Schaub.

He was great starting in place of Vick last year and in preseason he was solid. Although he has an ok offensive line, he's got a Pro Bowl receiver in Andre Johnson and decent good tight end with Owen Daniels.

As to McNair, he is an ok QB. Baltimore is primarily a defensive team. I think Matt Schaub is the way to go. Most fantasy reports place him as the top sleeper QB pick too.

Air McNair. If anything, McGahee is going to open up passing lanes for McNair to throw. Schaub .... is going to struggle under the pressure of his first full time starting job. It makes things alot easier, psychologically, when you know you're just the backup, no one expects you to lead the team to a super bowl, and you're content sitting backseat to Vick.

McGahee is going to open up the air attack for McNair. Schaub will have the same lack of talent that Carr had to work with. I'd rather start Carr as a backup in Carolina than Schaub right now, so I say McNair all the way.

HAHA, I wish... there is 27 teams in my league. Very hard to get anybody, even 2nd/3rd string guys especially when you only get points from QB, WR, RB, K, and DST.

27 teams??? holy schnikes! I'd be looking around the league for available back ups to the frail and oft injured QB's in your league then. But you might be skee-rood either way. Good luck ;-)
