i might go pick up sf4 for 30 bucks.. guy says its pretty much brand new. should i go for it? or no?

 

well, i decided to pick it up. the case had adhesive crap on it from stickers.. im guessing he bought it used. other than that it was in pretty good shape. tried playing for an hour or two and damn.. im getting my ___ kicked. i went through training with ryu and it was pretty easy except i couldnt pull off his ultimate move thing.. any tips for a noob? i read up and it said the d pad is better later in the game but i cant seem to get used to it so i kept using the analog stick.. sorry long post haha
