Default Stupid lexus emblems!

Ok, this is sort of annoying....
i went out and bought a IS250 and was all ready to shave the emblems off, and what do you know the 2 and 0 have pins. WTF, and so now i have to drive around all weekend with two small holes in my trunk lid until tuesday when i can go buy a new one. You would think they would do what scion did and not use pins....I dont understand the reason why they did this. Oh well, the car is black ill black them out i guess.

Another thing that was intresting, some of the collum controlers are the same in the Tc as the IS, go figure...

funny thing about the column switches and stuff is toyota has been doing that for a long time. The window switches for the scions can be found in the aftermarket easily. I suppose they do that to keep cost down, kinda like producing the same motor for several different cars. I suppose you knew that already though.

sucks about the pin holes, well at least you're driving a is250 instead of a beater. nice set of cars BTW

Lexus = $$$$$$

Scion = cheap

and since Lexus is really a Toyota ( hign end ) you think they get parts made for every different car they make? Look at a Geo Prism and the Corollas of the same year. They are really the same car, I built them on the assembly line ( they would come down the line in an order similar to this, Corolla , Corolla, Prism, prism , Prism Corolla, Corolla) one every minute ( actually 1 every 52 seconds)

This standardized manufacturing does not suprise me, i just thought it was intresting that it was the same on my Tc.
