Ah. Fond memories of Willie Crowther's Adventure.

(First played it on one of the UNIX III systems at Bell Labs in '82, and even then it was old - he wrote it in about '75.)

Zork was a mere shadow of Adventure, but I had Zork 1 through 3 on my early Macs.

Since my newest Macs are all UNIX based, I have a copy of the original Adventure on 'em. :D

we pull straws...no...we play tag...no...red rover...no...

well with Tomas, we just shot him with traqulizer darts and drafted him that way...(sorry Tom...glad to see the scar is going away.)
with some others it was like a frat initation...

yet some others were recomended by the OG's...

recently we gave a little bit of power to some...then watched them work...we choose a few to come play in the majors.

bottom line is...there is no set way to become a super mod.

Traqulizer darts huh? Whoa.... I'd rather be just a normal SL member then.

Good luck with your 2007 SL Mod draft. :D

Not only that, but I was actually selected by one of Darren's old girlfriends to be SuperMod...Really!

One day I woke up and was a SuperMod - I didn't ask for it and I'd only been here like three months... Very unexpected.

Ok... I know Mods have to do their job making sure the boards are in order and free from forum garbage, but what are benefits do they get in return?

Squirrel goes on rampage, injures 3

Thu Jun 14, 10:42 AM ET

BERLIN (Reuters) - An aggressive squirrel attacked and injured three people in a German town before a 72-year-old pensioner dispatched the rampaging animal with his crutch.

The squirrel first ran into a house in the southern town of Passau, leapt from behind on a 70-year-old woman, and sank its teeth into her hand, a local police spokesman said Thursday.

With the squirrel still hanging from her hand, the woman ran onto the street in panic, where she managed to shake it off.

The animal then entered a building site and jumped on a construction worker, injuring him on the hand and arm, before he managed to fight it off with a measuring pole.

"After that, the squirrel went into the 72-year-old man's garden and massively attacked him on the arms, hand and thigh," the spokesman said. "Then he killed it with his crutch."

The spokesman said experts thought the attack may have been linked to the mating season or because the squirrel was ill.

I really want to be able to offer some sage advice as an old school mod....but frankly, if you don't know how to open the giant clam, I can't help....

i was told the moderator world is like a mafia. everyone sits in a dark room and dictates who mods where and who bans who.

its a scary world i don't want to know about or be involved in. sounds dangerous and possibly lives and good threads are at stake!

i don't feel safe anymore
