Default Tax Day Tea Party?

Did any of you go to one in your hometown? How was it? Any pictures? Please leave the political whining and bickering out. This is not intended to be a right vs. left protest. I made it to the one here in Olympia, WA. overall, i sit pretty much in the middle about most issues, but the american spirit was there in full force, quite an amazing feeling. it was wonderful to see so many people there to support our country and our principles. i was also surprised by the diversity of people there. a lot more showed up than i expected. took some photos:

Wish I could have, but school > all.

I'm very happy to see people lashing out against these waves of B.S. coming out of washington, but unfortunately, this is very much like a U.N. resolution. Strongly-worded, but without bite.

Hopefully, these events will translate into major changes in Washington through the power of the vote.

what was amazing to me was that there were no fires started, no destruction, car tipping, or any of that other anarchic chaos usually found at protests. in fact, in the second photo showing a line walking towards the capitol, all of those people would stop and wait for the cross signal, and as you can see, even stayed on the sidewalk. dont know why certain media groups are portraying these people as 'right wing extremists' because its usually the crazy anti-war, anti-capitalist protesters that need the tear gas and national guard, lol. oh well.

whatever, it was a good experience to see americans out there defending the constitution and peacefully practicing their freedom of speech and assembly.

I just think it's funny that nobody seemed to catch on to the double entendre they had been using.

Also, everyone's focus seemed to be in different places, as far as what they were protesting. Eh, it's something, I guess.

The media has difficulty understanding its not a top-down movement, but a bottom-up one. This isnt about democrats or republicans, liberals or conservatives. It is about Americans who are sick and think both parties have failed us and are useless. The people at these rallies are not anarchist - they are Americans
