Anyone out there play or watch tennis?

I just got a new tennis raquet myself today since I'd have more fun doing that for exercise than walking/running or possibly biking.

 

I play tennis with my woman sometimes. Its a fun way of exercising.

How do you play with one racket?

I played tennis in college then some local open tournaments and local tennis league.
Now married with one kid I only play twice a month with a few friends, just a hit around and play a couple of sets. I hope Roger wins 6 in a row. Prince Graphite rules since 1978.

 

I'm not a serious player so I'm probably at the lowest you can be I haven't had a raquet for 5yrs (my sis took it back, it was hers) and I just got one today

The one I picked up is a Head Ti.S6 Very nice and light compared to what my sister has!

I'd love to get a person to play with and a court with doors that can be shut so I can bring my dog with me. Yes yes, I know dogs aren't allowed on courts but.. w/e!

 

I play my friend on my single court at my condo. Its great since I am the only one in my complex who plays so its like having my own personal court. My friend brings his baby or dog and I can lock them in sometimes he brings both of them. I still kick his ___ even with all the baby and dog breaks. I even string my own racquets since 1991

At Ridgeline you they dont really care what u bring onto the courts
cuz its usually deserted, so 13 courts all to myself!

courts 5-13 are all gated so u can lock your pets/children in
courts 1-4 are partly gated cuz they are sorta stadium courts

Tennis owns. I don't get to play too often, but I love the look on peoples faces when I tell them I play tennis. It's usually a "wtf are you ___?" response. So then I just tell them that playing playing a non-contact athletic sport is much more fun than touching and grabbing men all day long.

I haven't played in a while though .

 

Yea.. I would think people would consider those types of sports more "___" than others.

 

And yet most people consider them to be 'manly' sports. Besides, anyone who's played Tennis competitively knows that it requires a lot more stamina and skill than Wrestling. lmfao, wrestling..

I need to find someone to play with, I've only played like 2 games in the last 3 years . I used to play a lot more when I was in college.

 

Tennis is far from ___. I scored more chicks in playing college tennis in four years then all 13 years playing hockey. All hockey had to offer was rink rats(ugly chicks)as far as non- contact you should watch me and my friend play tennis, two ex hockey players hit each other in the chest with the ball. We play in NYC at 38 temperture ice ball tennis the ***** don't even bounce right.

Plus you can play tennis and date the super fit and smoking hot women on the College tennis team and score with the College softball chicks, well the few that aren't ___.

I have the Prince Graphite longbody 100 sq. in. with cheap 1.00 nylon 15l strung at 75lbs since I break those every 12 hrs because of my lefty topspin. I tried natural gut and other 16g string but I break them in 40 mins what a waste of money and my time stringing the racquet. I tried the new metal poly strings its hell on your arm. Plus its like paino wire when you string it up wear gloves.

Single courts are the best since you never have to worry about a ball rolling on your court from either side very annoying when your playing a set and winning a point to have to stop and replay the point.

i only string mine at 65lbs and that's the max recommended tension on my racket

u should really look into getting Kevlar strings
they are the most durable but have no feel to them
and use regular 15g not 15Lg cuz 15Lg is the same as regular 16g

honestly more guys on our tennis team get with the hot chicks than the guys on our football team (well i do know a few guys on the football team that have hot GFs)

One of our Star players on tennis went out w/ the hottest senior last year, and he was a Junior! lol

then i did Shot-put and discus the second semester of freshman year and second semester of sophomore year

i didn't get on the team until this past year
but i have been playing tennis since i was 6 so, eh....

I tried kevlar back in college but didn't like it like you said no feel. Also I don't like stringing up cotton like string once you bend them they are screwed up kinked up. I tried some 15g string it didn't last any longer the 15l strings plus its hard to find them I wish they made 14l that would be cool. If you go from 15l to 16g the 16 break so fast.

My friends use 16g but they need 3 racquets one getting strung up, one almost breaking and one new one in the bag. So you can never borrow a racquet since the racquet he's using will not last 2-3 sets without breaking.

I used prince tournament nylon, leoina66 and toa gold in college I tried going back to them but now I don't like them now. I like cheap nylon winn, ag or victor from holabirdsports.com its only 17.95 for a 660 foot reel. Or midwestsports.com has forten 15l nlyon string for 16.95 a reel of 660ft.

You can string 17 racquets out of a reel so it comes out to a dollar a string job no one can beat that. Plus since you are the person stringing the racquet your are not going to do a 20min rush string job( tension every other pull) and mess up the tension. I watch tv take my sweet time and pull every hole which takes 40 mins this way you get the same tension every time.

I tried luxilon al power rough like Roger and luxilon 5 star but my forearm hated it. I even lowered my string tension down to 60lbs but a string that has metal in it is to painful to my arm.

Yeah when you think about it tennis playing with hot chicks and getting them to moan when they move side to side in a long rally it sounds like they are going to *** at the end of the rally and you get to control it pretty cool. Also you can also check out there hot sluty outfits either super short shorts(cammel toe, weggie or both) or a super short skirt with or without panties haha.

Playing football with fat and muscleheads sweating guys and where you have to tackle guys and taking showers with them gross. Wrestling is the gayest sport its foreplay for in the closet ___ guys. Rolling around on the floor with a guy not my idea of spending an afternoon.

 

LOL this is hilarious. I play tennis but I suck. But it's fun. I just don't know how to hit it hard and still make it land on the court. Off topic yes.

My nickname was SpeedDemon, because i was fast and chase evey ball they hitted to me.

Don't worry about hitting it hard frist. As long u hitting the ball back, you will gain more confience in your strokes.
