I usually dont post stuff like this, but this is something that affects a big group of us here in Alaska.


Here in Anchorage, and Wasilla (Alaska) it seems our favorite pastime is under attack from a proposed change to Matanuska-Susitna Borough ordinances, which will change Race Tracks from a Core Area conditional use, to a borough wide conditional use. This does not just apply to normal tracks (dirt or asphalt) but ALL forms of racing, whether they take place on land, ice, or snow and involve cars, motorcycles, ATVs, or snow machines.

Basicly a select group of people, who have the power, want to kill motorsports in the MSB.

They want to make it so you must get a permit for every event that will take place in the CORE area of the MSB which I think is just about everywhere...anyways, read below, they believe that these motorsports sites are to loud, cause to much trouble, and lower their property value...so they want to invoke permits, rules, laws, fees to get such permits, etc.

And we need all the help we can get! I just need everyone to sign this petition:
