These guys just dint seem like they know enough and are not very enthusiastic. I mean the uk top gear host are all journalist and have been working in broadcasting and journalism for a long time so they know how to capture readers(audience) but the thing that puts the host together best is the fact that they are automotive enthusiasts. You can see it's pure and not forced like the American host. In the uk version when they have guests and Jeremy asks them about the cars they've owned Jeremy sounds like an owners manual when he talks about cars. He knows so much across such a variety of cars that it surprises me sometimes.

But its really how it rips off the uk versions that bothers me. I don't think anyone should try and follow the same formula just because the uk host are honestly a perfect match for each other and they balance their opinions and differences perfect and I don't see it happening in the us version naturally. I see the director or producers telling them to argue with each other to try and make it interesting but I think it just has fail written all over it.

I am pretty sure this is a continuation of the British version... but still just doesnt seem right for some reason.

The hosts are not enthusiastic enough and it just seems like there is no energy in it at all. Guess at most I will watch to see some cool cars now and then.

im not gonna read all the responses, but it was garbage and i predict it will tank just like the first attempts at an American Top Gear.

The hosts have absolutely no chemistry, the whole show is bland and monotone, i didnt laugh once. The people are what make the show.

Well.. when the one guy that seems to be more of a car guy is a drift "racer" that tells you a lot. Yes, he is a good driver and all.. but he clearly cares more about how well he can get the car sideways more than he does about how the car actually performs over all. And like yellow said, it was not funny and the hosts do not work well together. Just seems out of place and uncomfortable.

And they had BUZZ FRICKIN ALDRIN as a guest and still did the worst interview either. Seemed like they just read through a script, didnt care much about his answers and just wanted to get to the lap as quick as possible. Just shows that a good guest cant save a failing show

even small things, like the fact that the names on the lap times were typed and not hand written just bugged the hell out of me!

Hmm I didn't notice that. I must have been too busy criticizing the hosts' lack of chemistry.

yea i didnt like it. I couldn't make it through the viper vs helicopter part. I kind of like tanner foust but I definitely cant stand the dude with the mole on his face ("MOOOOLE!!" austin powers). Cant remember what movie or tv show he is from but i dont like him, he is epically boring and so is the other dude!

I was thinking the same thing. Although It did get better but compared to the brits these guys deserve the "golden **** award".

I think they all sucked, including tanner foust. I never really liked him on the other shows he does either. Just isnt good at hosting a show IMO. And like I said, all he cares about is getting the car sideways or what the top speed is. They need more diversity in the type of drivers on the show as well as some actual personality.
